I find it quite disturbing that a minister of God would preach on being a racist.  How can a person have this minister as his mentor for over 20 years, and not be influenced by him. To me a mentor is someone that teaches you, helps to form your moral character. How can this not affect you and the people around you? What do you think?  Who really is Obama?  And, what does he really believe?  Can you really believe in him?  Where does he really stand?  At first, I was really sick at how long this presidental race has been going on.  But, the longer it is going on the more you find out about a person and their true beliefs.  Let me hear your thoughts about this.  We know alot about Clinton, and McCain, but we really do not know to much about Obama.  He  has not voted on a lot of matters, either yea or nay, but did you know that over 100 times he only voted present and not for or against the matters before him.  What kind of policy is that??  You either  have to be for something or against something.  You cannot sit on the fence. One cannot tell the voters "I am for this or I am against this" if you  have never even voted.  Well......let me know what you think

Unfortunatly the minister is just like the rest of us human and thank God we are not caught in our mistakes on camera. Dont get me wrong I was hurt by many of the things he said, but they were not said by Obama and if he is denying sharing those views thats all we can go on. Just gos to show you evenmore be careful who you align yourself with.

Enjoyed the post just the same

I thought about removing this from my blog.  I hate upsetting anyone, my nature.  I have never been to a church where Jesus was not the "soul" source of our sermon lessons.  Keep politics out of religion.  Keep Jesus in our hearts! Peace be with you.  Judy

NO I would not remove it, cimply because if someone that comes across it that did share that message and sees for the first time WAIT ITS NOT RIGHT then you helped. I often think the best part of seeing others blogs are looking at it from a different point of view.

And your right again the 2 should be seperated

I would say religion and politics go hand in hand.   Statements like  "accepting your lot...it's G-d's will" is implicitly political because in many societies, that is really saying that inequality and suffering are ok, or at least shouldn't be challenged.

Obama's pastor, from the little  I've read of him, made some comments about race, which I'm guessing ring true to a lot of African Americans and non-Whites (and even Whites who acknowledge the racial climate in America). It's upset people that he was mentioning "race", but it doesn't take away from the reality that racism/racial inequality are very much a part of the United States.

I have always thought that 'politics in the pulpit' was not a good thing.they say it is mainly a 'fundie' pulpit that does this, but the radical left and the black liberal churches do it all the time, just as well. personally if they get politcal they should loose their tax exemption.

I think that this long primary season is a good thing, it is what test these guys to see what they are really made of. but you can't tell your friends or your pastor what they can or can not say, but obama's pastors remarks have been around since 03 and I find it strange that this is the first time Obama ever heard them? But as for the pastors remarks other than being done on the pulpit which i disagree with, I agree with him 100%, they are true for the most part, USA has and does all those things over seas and in s. america, and what goes around comes around eventually. I know most folks don't like to hear the truth about our government, but from what I have read and heard our government does some terrible things in the name of 'democracy'.

We have 3 people left on this race to vote for, a very old man, who has temper tamtrums and who is inbedded with the lobbist who are all on his campaign and who really is crazy or demented, then obama who I feel is not tested yet, not that he isn't a good man, just not tested, then clinton, who is tested, why people don't like her is kind of strange to me because of what her hubby did? maybe? really why the love /hate with her? what has she done for this hate against her?.............it would be strange to have clinton as the first man, he probably would have more time to chase the ladies while ms. clinton is busy Smiley but truly, I rather have the pres. having sex and destroying his marriage, than a pres. going to war all over the place for 'personal gains', don't you think? sex/ war which is worse? it was a bad character decision on both their parts but any way back to the topic, We really don't have

real good choices, but there never really is , politicians are mainly con artist anyhow..................so it will be interesting to see how obama swims out of the mire with this

love ya

sis
