How many of you, Americans, really believe that the 9/11 was planned and performed by terrorists from Al-Qaeda?

And how many of you believe that the 9/11 was planned and faked by the US Government and the Federal Reserve System as an excuse to start a war?

(We might discuss the importance of a war on a later entry, depending how many answers I get..)

Re: Terrorism?
I don't have any clue, but certainly wouldn't LIKE to think it was an inside job! If that were the case, so many people have lost their lives for nothing, and we should be looking in every nook and cranny in the USA in order to find the !@#$%$%^  instead of sending all of our trained men out and away from the danger.

But I am not very UP with politics, so can't say what I think...I'd LIKE to think it was from the outside!

Re: Terrorism?
I don't know what to believe either.. it's hard to believe that two buildings which WERE built to RESIST the strike of an airplane have completely fallen due to heat generated by burning jet fuel (which, by the way, burns at roughly 280ºC (540ºF)) which allegedly melted the steel structure (which needs at least 600ºC (1100ºF) to lose half of its strength)..

We all saw it live on TV, and I bet most of us thought: "Wow, well, that was totally unexpected.." plus all the airplanes which "vaporized" in front of the pentagon as well as in Shanksville..

I mean.. I won't buy half of the story which the US government and the media have told us.. however, most of the conspiracy theories don't have enough proof to back their statements about the corruption of the Bush administration.. well.. but that's stuff for another blog entry..

Re: Terrorism?
so write it!
interesting, that the heat was not actually enough to burn the buildings...wonder if it actually IMPLODED..or it was just made to APPEAR that the planes did it? Hmmmm

Re: Terrorism?
What you saw on TV was that the tower actually IMPLODED. But..

The official story says that the steel core of the towers melted and the building self imploded on itself due to lack of structural support.

However, the conspiracy theories point out that, besides the obvious problem around the temperature of the jet fuel, the way that the building fell is much more compatible with the possibility of it having been DEMOLISHED by planted explosive charges - which, by the way, is backed up by a lot of survivors who claim to have heard a series of explosions just prior to the fall of the towers. Freekish, huh?

Even more freekish is the fact that the 911 INVESTIGATION COMMISSION did not find an explanation to the implosion of the third building - building number 7 - a small building (compared to the towers) which had only a few restricted fires.

And the holes in the story go on and on..

Re: Terrorism?
Whewie! I had never actually researched it, so these things I find to be MOST interesting, and freakish, as you say!

Thank you for sharing!
Have you had a good day today?

Re: Terrorism?
Well, I'm glad I told you something new

My days have been like a limbo.. I'm not free, but I'm not stuck either. The happiness of being almost done with my internship gets mixed up with the anxiety of being in the final run. Now everything counts and 4 months of work can become useless because of a minor mistake..

I just can't wait for it to be over, so I can have the time and the head to do all the things that get left behind: cleaning my room, cooking, being romantic, going to the clubs.. heh..

I hope you're okay too! Are you?

Re: Terrorism?
Don't worry; if you have done all the work that goes into your studies and internship, you will be just fine. They don't hold minor things against you. Just make sure to ask if you are in doubt about any small thing. You don't want pride to cause a fatal error, especially since this has been your dream for so long.
I think you have the empathy to be a great nurse, so just relax and enjoy the last weeks.  Do you have a job set up to start with when you are done?  I am sure you will be lapped up!

I am doing okay, thank you; enjoying spring. Don't like the severe heat. Thanks for asking.

Re: Terrorism?
Well, I got an offer to work on a paid internship - under the support of a project from the local government. It's not full salary, but if I can't find a better option, I'll take it!

Where do you live?

Re: Terrorism?
Ah, well at least that is better than nothing, but I do hope for a well paying position for you.
I live in the Rocky Mountain area...out west.

Re: Terrorism?
Conspiracy theories are fun to toy around with but I have hard time taking any of the 9/11 was done by the government stuff seriously.

The history is certainly there for al-qaeda and terrorism from Islamist extremists before 9/11. Unless one was to think the attack on the USS Cole, our embassies, and the first trade center attacks was also done by our government.

Like Ace Ventura once said "fiction can be fun" but it falls short of being beleivable, for me anyways.

Re: Terrorism?
Well, it's kind of hard to believe in any of the sides of the story. There are unexplained facts in both sides.. but if we take a moment to watch all the documentaries already made about all the holes in the US government version of the story, it's really hard to believe it again.

They're not just conspiracy theories. You don't need a theory to start doubting the "official" story.. you just need to be pointed out on the flaws of the official story.

Re: Terrorism?
I don't know about the Fed being behind it, but I do believe our government was DEEPLY involved.

A more likely candidate would be the real people/groups that run this country like the Tri-Lateral Commission, the CFR, the World Bank and the Bilderberg Group.

Re: Terrorism?
The Trilateral Commission? That's also a new one to me.

The politics that explain the connection between the Fed, debt and war aren't difficult to grasp. What's difficult to grasp is that the Fed really is that corrupt..
rv1501 on
Re: Terrorism?
Ok, I see the relationship of the Fed... Both Greenspan & Volcker - founding members of the Tri-Lateral Commission later became heads of the Fed. And no, it's not difficult to grasp how corrupt the Fed is if you follow the history of it's members back to their "parent" groups.
