ok, so i understand there have been a fair amount of celebrity deaths recently, and i understand some people were more popular than others...but for fuck sake MJ was a creepy pedophile who never grew up and now died of a drug overdose...WOOPDEE FRICKIN DOO!!! i dont care. i dont give a shit about pics of crying fans, i dont give a shit about the friends he never made up with, and i certainly dont give a FLYING FUCK about a PEDOPHILE! yes, he made some good music...but that was like FOREVER ago. its not like he hasnt put out music lately..hes been putting out new songs year after year and still none of them were good enough for us to give a shit, but now that the bastard is dead people suddenly care? well i have one question for all of you:

WHAT ABOUT FARRAH FAWCETT???!!
she died on the same day as MJ. she didnt die of an overdose...she died of cancer..FUCKING CANCER!!! she had been battling it for THREE FUCKIN YEARS, but does anyone give a shit...APPARENTLY NOT.

it really pisses me off that people care more about some CIRCUS FREAK than a woman who bravely fought cancer for 3 whole years and finally lost the battle. it literally sickens me. now dont get me wrong, im not distraught about her death either. i mean, i didnt know either of them, how can i really feel the need to mourn, but some people DESERVE to  have all of the media whirlwind surrounding their death...and some people dont. as far as im concerned Michael Jackson finally got what was coming to him, and Farrah Fawcett got screwed over.

so this is to Farrah Fawcett. She was a beautiful, talented woman whose strong will allowed her to persevere through YEARS of cancer treatments. RIP Farrah! YOU ARE MISSED.

Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
Michael Jackson was the king of pop. and he died of a heart attack, not an overdose.
plus it was never really proved that he was a pedophile.
also, he was about to go on tour like...now. if he hadn't died.

cancer is boring, millions of people die of cancer every year.
plus she hasn't done ANYTHING in the past couple years. what she's known for mostly is that picture you have up that millions of teen boys jacked off to back in the day.

i noticed Farrah died, along with everyone else in the country because celebrities always die in three's (if you noticed that), but seriously? Michael was more famous. Michael did more in his lifetime. Michael had an impact on many more lives.
jadorechanter on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
i see words, but all i read is blah blah blah.
A: yes..a heart attack..caused by Demerol. "they said it was too much" as reported on AOL YESTERDAY.
B: he might have been the "king of pop" but he sure as hell wasnt the best singer of all time and to be lumped with Elvis and Sinatra should be a crime.
C: if he never molested those kids, why would he pay them large amounts of money outside or court. if i was accused of being a pedophile i would fight that charge with ever fiber of my being no matter how much money i had.
D: he may have been about to go on tour, but seriously..its only cuz he wanted more money.

"cancer is boring" oh wow..so if you ever get cancer, everyone you love and that care about you should just say, "meh..its not a heart attack..and its not like your anything special"? wow..way to have compassion for the MILLIONS OF PEOPLE that die EVERY YEAR of cancer. and of course she hasnt done anything in the past couple years SHES BEEN FUCKING BATTLING CANCER FOR FUCK SAKE!!

but you are right...MJ has impacted more lives..i mean Farrah never molested anyone.
beccsaloser on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
was that a fight? because i wasn't fighting.

AOL is no where near reliable news coverage.
if he wasn't the KING OF POP then how was his music so good? that's right. you just don't like him because of false accusations brought against him. listen to his music without any of your prejudice. maybe you'll see.
or maybe you need to watch a few documentaries or something. there's a reason he's the king of pop.

the kid's parents wanted money and thats the only reason they accused Michael of doing anything. ha, look up on this shit. you're acting like you know these celebrities as people and Michale is the rich popular kid you hate. get over it and see him for the musical genius he is.

cancer runs through my family, thank you very much. i plan on dying of breast cancer. and, yeah. millions of people die of breast cancer every damn year. whoop dee freaking doo.

i mean like, since she was on that tv show or some bullcrap. see? the only thing anyone knows her for is that damn picture. mind you it's a good picture i'm not saying anything too bad about it. Farrah just simply isn't that important. she wasn't even that great of an actress.
jadorechanter on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
i dont know..im only 21 but im pretty sure that CHARLIES ANGELS was a very big hit.

MJ didnt even like himself. why the fuck should i care about him? who would do all that to their face if they liked themselves? and no im not talking about the "white" thing. i believe that he had invidaliago. and i believe that he was a good musician. i have danced many a time to his "thriller" knowing the choreography and everything. but he WAS a pedophile and as someone who was molested as a child i CANNOT and WILL NOT condone his behavior and i have no remorse in saying that people shouldnt give a fuck that hes dead.

cancer runs through my family too, skin cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer..its all in there. i care about how im going to die. and i care about the impact i have on other people. i would NEVER do that to a child.
jadorechanter on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
also, i have watched documentaries..and i have other sources than AOL i mean you cant turn on a fucking tv without hearing about it. the last documentary i saw about him showed him as an eccentric imbecile who couldnt even afford the massively expensive crap that he bought while it was being filmed.
beccsaloser on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
thriller isn't the ONLY song, by the way.

and still, are you arguing? because i'm not. still. you're getting fucking angry and there's no need be.

you have no proof he was a pedo. just stating the truth there.

sure i care how i'm going to die. but it's not like it's more important that Michael's. seriously, he was a bigger celebrity and nobody even cares about charlie's angels anymore. Michael > Farrah. GTFOI
jadorechanter on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
and again...your ignorance and naivety is baffling. i KNOW thriller is not the ONLY song btw..im NOT retarded. i however cannot speak for the rest of society on that matter.

im not going to argue the pedophile point anymore..i have enough. if you dont get it, you never will. live in your ignorance.

sure..i guess on the scale of weird MJ is > Farrah, but on the scale of who was a better human being...oh..totally Farrah.
beccsaloser on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
you're acting like you know them personally.

nobody's saying Farrah's not a good person or anything. sure yeah whatever she was great blah blah blah.

Michael impacted more people. Michael changed the face of dancing and music forever. Michael was only, oh, WORLD FAMOUS.

and also, AGAIN, there's no need to call names here. you're the only one in your little comments that is arguing with anyone.
all we're doing is telling you why people care about Michael more than Farrah.
ignorance and naivety? by the way mean almost the same thing. so you might as well have just said, "your stupidity and stupidity..."

who's stupid?
jadorechanter on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
YOU ARE! mwwahahahaha! yes i can argue like a 2 year old as well.

you know you are just contradicting yourself when you say you arent arguing, right? i mean i am at least adult enough to not need to hide what i am doing.
beccsaloser on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
was i arguing? because i'm just letting you know that you're making yourself look like an idiot.
note i said LOOK like. just in case you decide you're illiterate for a few seconds again.

i don't think a 2 year old knows of Farrah Fawcett.
ha, wait. i hardly knew her name till yesterday as well. i wonder why...

either way, nobody said "you need to feel bad that MJ is dead" blah blah blah.
we're telling you why he's getting more media attention and you just can't handle it because you just don't like that only one person is getting it all. were you neglected as a child, or something?

whaaaatever.
jadorechanter on

maybe you didnt know who she was cuz you actually ARE 2? have you ever stopped to think about it? it may be something you feel the need to ponder later while you are sitting around contemplating your navel.

Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
The difference is that we knew Farrah Fawcett was dying and we knew she didn't have much time. As a matter of fact, I felt bad that she hung on so long.

Michael Jackson's death was unexpected.  He was a music icon for over 40 years with UNIVERSAL appeal.

When Kurt Cobain died, I wasn't affected at all, but I understand that he meant a lot to his fans and I respected that. Why be outraged because people are mourning someone you don't care about personally?  It really doesn't make much sense.
jadorechanter on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
i feel no remorse for pedophiles. as i have stated previously, anyone who was accused of such a thing, if they were not guilty they would have fought it instead of bending over to pull wads of cash out of their asses.
k10 on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
when ur famous and accused of anything, the longer it is out there, the longer it will be in the news...so paying someone off is sometimes just the easiest thing to do.

no one except mj and the people who made the allegations know for sure if he was a pedo or not.
jadorechanter on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
life isnt easy. its not supposed to be easy. anyone who wants to take the easy way out is going to pay for it. ok, lets say that he didnt molest those kids. if he had fought the first one, if he was truly innocent he would have won, then he wouldnt have been accused by these other victims and therefore would have saved money and time and his reputation. but he didnt fight it..he paid them. which makes him look guilty.
k10 on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
no, the parents accepting the payout makes him look innocent!
beccsaloser on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
just because someone is innocent doesn't mean they got off.
the Justice system isn't perfect. a 21 year old should know that.
jadorechanter on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
i of all people know the justice system is flawed...i mean, look at all the men on death row that have been acquitted thanks to DNA. but thank you for again insinuating that i have the IQ of the reptile. it shows just how mature you truly are.
beccsaloser on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
did i say you have the IQ of a reptile?
did i say that? because i'm pretty sure i'm literate and can see that i didn't.

this is what i'm talking about. you're starting your own arguments. ha, who's mature?
jadorechanter on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
"a 21 year old should know that." that is an implication that you think i have a low IQ. do i have to state it again. PSYCHOLOGY AND SOCIOLOGY MAJOR! i know things about the human psyche and peoples human nature than you can even fathom.

i think im more mature, bc with every post i laugh even harder. you just seem to be getting genuinely upset. which i in turn find even more hilarious.

Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
You don't have to feel remorse for anyone.  That's not my point. My point is why be outraged because someone else is mourning someone you don't care about or don't like? That doesn't make sense.

As for both of the court cases. The first time he paid them off.  Who really knows why? We can only speculate and you are certainly entitled to your opinion.  The second time he was acquitted because the prosecution had a flimsy case.
jadorechanter on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
i am NOT upset that people are mourning over someone i dont like...it just baffles me that he is getting all of this media attention, when all the media has been doing is bashing him for the past what 8 years. the man has never made a good decision in his entire life, why should we idolize him? would you want YOUR child to turn out like MJ did? and why would people that have never even met him give a shit? i mean i understand being sad if your favorite musician or actor died..i get it, but outright sobbing...for DAYS when you never even met the man? cmon..ppl.
myclette on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
They did the same thing when Elvis died and when John Lennon died. They did it when TuPac died. They did it when Selena died.  As a matter of fact Selena's body was on display for 3 days in see-thru casket.  I mean get over it. People are crying and mourning Michael Jackson.  He was a big celebrity for 40 years and people all over the world loved his music. What's not to get?  People sobbed and passed out at his concerts, too.  Why wouldn't they sob at his passing? You didn't like him. Millions of people did, therefore it's going to be all over the news.
jadorechanter on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
thats because Elvis and John lennon were amazing people who did amazing work. MJ was good at sounding like a woman, and grabbing his crotch. his dancing was different..i get it...but really youve seen 1 moonwalk youve seen them all.
i didnt cry for any celeb that died. i cry for ppl i know. sure the passing of certain ppl make me sad..but i sure as hell am not gonna fuckin cry about someone i never even met!
myclette on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
That goes back to a matter of your opinion. See how that works? YOU didn't like him. YOU didn't appreciate his music. Fine.  Millions of people did, thus millions of people are mourning him and YOU aren't.  Again, fine. However, it is illogical to be angry that other people don't feel the same way you do. What's with that?

You don't cry for people YOU don't know. Some people do.  I cry when I see documentaries about the horrors in Rwanda or the horrors of the Holocaust. I certainly don't know those people personally, but I have shed a tear for them.  Maybe you don't, but I wouldn't judge you either way.
jadorechanter on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
are you insinuating that the death of MJ is on the same level as the horrors of Rwanda or the Holocaust? wow..thats a leap, dont you think?
myclette on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
Nice try.  You know good and well that that was a rebuttal to your, "I don't cry for people I don't know" argument.  LOL!

C'mon. You've got to do better than that.
jadorechanter on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
well..see..you say you cry for people you dont know. i said its stupid for people to cry over MJs death if they didnt know him. did he suffer? was he in a concentration camp? no..he had millions of dollars and more crap that anyone could ever need nor want. which makes no sense why you would think that putting that down as an example is a good rebuttal. c'mon..you can do better than that!

Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
Maybe you forgot what you wrote. Let me remind you:

i cry for ppl i know. sure the passing of certain ppl make me sad..but i sure as hell am not gonna fuckin cry about someone i never even met!

I replied by citing examples in which I've cried over people I've never met. A good rebuttal on my part. A sad strawman argument on your part. Like I said, you've got to do better than that.
jadorechanter on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
i dont cry for ppl in rwanda. i do cry for ppl in the holocaust. which makes sense for me. because i get to hear first hand stories from my grandmother who got the unfortunate chance to experience concentration camps first hand. but then again. i dont usually cry. so i guess people are just more sensitive than i am. then again i am a skeptic who has lost all faith in humanity as a whole and doesnt care what random ppl think of me. i know who i am, i know what i stand for, and i know many people that agree with me.

I was just telling someone that it took me days to get over Sophie's Choice and Shindler's List.  I can't bring myself to watch The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. I just can't do it.  Stuff about the Holocaust really upsets me.

I'm sensitive, but I have a thick skin, when comes to stuff happening to me.  When I see it happening to other people, it bugs me. I don't know why really, but I guess I figure I can handle more crap than most people.  I too don't give a flying fig what random people or people I know think about me.

He also gave millions to charity over the years.    He was forced into that lifestyle as a young child by his father and made into who he was.  Yes, he made bad choices, and he may or may not have done bad things, but he also changed the pop music industry and gave thousands of people an opportunity they may not have had to get their foot into the music door.
jadorechanter on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
you make valid points, but that doesnt mean that every fucking channel and every fucking website needs to be all about how he died. its fucking ridiculous. they were even talking about him on ESPN! now i want to know what MJ has ever done for the sports community to get that kind of coverage. it just doesnt make sense. im not saying that Farrah should get MORE recognition, i just dont think that one should have more recognition than the other. they both need equal time. and if everyone would get their heads out of their asses and realize that its not the end of the fucking world and that there are more pressing and important issues that no one knows about bc no one will shut the fuck up about michael jackson. hes fucking dead now let him be dead. i mean shit, david carradine's death is STILL under investigation and they think he was probably murdered, and he didnt even get HALF the publicity that MJ is getting. it just sickens me. one persons life is not more valuable than anothers. its just stupid.
debulkitty on
Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
Actually, most of the valid websites I go to for entertainment news- cnn, reuters, occasionally yahoo entertainment- have articles on both.  Yes, MJ has the larger headline- but that's because more people are clicking on the other links.  The websites pander to the public and they want MJ.

Yes, I agree, it is stupid, but as a whole- people are stupid, persons are smart.

Why are you so angry?

Farrah Fawcett wasn't even that great of an actress.  Pretty? at one point yes, but did she change the art of acting like Michael Jackson changed the art of dancing, music videos, and music, no!

And...if he was a pedo do you really think those parents would have only accepted a cash pay out? If my kid had been molested, I'd make sure the bastard that did it went to jail.  Those parents obviously didn't care much about that, did they?

Re: Has ANYONE stopped to think about Farrah Fawcett?
I just watched the dateline special that was on last night about Farrah Fawcett and then Michael Jackson.  I found both shows very emotional.

She was very strong, and had so much faith, and it was admirable to see that. Cancer is no way to die, it's a long almost dehumanizing battle for most people. Her death was definately expected, and thus not so much of a shock.

Michael Jackson, was a musical genius. And I think he used that talent to do alot of good. I also believe that he was a pedophile. I believe that our countries defense teams have the upperhand when it comes to justice. It's not unusual for celebrities to be guilty and get off, anyway they can.  I still felt sorry for the guy though, he obviously has suffered probably his whole life. I do believe that there is good in most everyone, and I believe it was in him too.  It was hard for me to believe these things about him, but I think there is too much information given, that makes it unlikely to be anything but true.

It's unfortunate that people who deserve to be acknowledged whether alive or dead, don't get it. While others get an unbelievable amount of acknowledgment. But thats just life. Whether a celebrity or not.
