took us 30 hours to go from san francisco to prince george, BC. What a long drive, half way thru my butt was beginning to get sore. BMWs have great seats but I don't think they where design for 30 hours straight driving. Granted we took some gas and food break but other then that it was non stop.
Over the 1500 miles, my 323i was averaging 32.6 miles per gallon. Not bad, Not bad at all.
by the 2 weeks end I think we'll have driven over 4000 miles. Hopefully I won't exceed the 15,000 mile oil change by too much.
Yes I change the oil every 15000 miles. My car's over 142000 miles. No issue, no oil burning at all.
The paper filter doesn't look so hot after 15000, so I changed out the oil filter around 7000-8000 miles. not the oil though.
I recently changed the valve cover and I gotta say, it was super clean inside, no sludge what so ever, Synthetic OIL is AWSOME.
I need to replace the clip on my under engine cover, it keeps coming loose.
