So far...

This past weekend was a crew party at Jon White's house. Everyone there was drunk except for me, Lindsay, Russ, and Jon's girlfriend Emily. I felt bad for Emily because she and Jon got in a fight that night because he was drunk and acting like an ass. But I didn't really see a difference from the way he normally acts. I met a guy on the crew team who's name is Kevin. He's the president of the team. He wanted me to be a coxen for one of the boats. I would have done it but the manditory meeting they had was set for 8:00 pm last night. I couldn't be there because I had an interview for TBS (Tau Beta Sigma) at 8:30. I stayed outside for a long time that night just talking to Russ and Jordan, a guy who goes to Nicholls State. But when Jordan decided to go to bed at 3:00 am, Russ and I went back to Varnado Hall, which is the dorm Russ is staying in, and I was so tired that I ended up crashing in his room with him and Andrus (sp?). The beds in Varnado are so much better than the one's here at Sabine. I think next semester I'm going to move to Varnado. Not to mention, the rooms are much bigger, they have decent temperature showers, and the rooms have their own AC control so it's not always so freezing in the room if you don't want it to be.

Anywho...

I had my interview with TBS last night. They just asked me normal questions like "what's your major?", "how many hours are you taking?", "which would you put first: band TBS or school?" Then when my interview was over, Shantel (sp?) told me that I couldn't leave my room between 10 and midnight that night because they were passing out bids that night. And sure enough, 11:00 rolls around and here's all the actives in TBS at my door with an envelope containing my bid. I have to go to a little bid acceptance dinner thing tomorrow night but first I had to write a small autobiography to give them containing everything I wanted the sisters to know about me. I can't wait. I know they do some hazing but I don't think it's anything too bad. And if I can't handle it then I'll just drop out. It's that simple.

I also have a five page english paper due in two weeks. I have to read an entire chapter of my book to even understand it. But that's cool. I think I'll work on it this weekend since I won't have anything else to do while I'm at home. I'm going home this weekend so I won't be able to see Tyler Reid in concert. It sucks because I've been waiting for some band to perform here and when one finally comes, it's when I've already got plans to go home and watch my sister cheer at her first football game as a cheerleader.

I got my Monday, Wednesday, Friday Fine Arts class with Professor Dunn at 8:00 am switched to 2:00 pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday with Professor Smith. I hope that I'll be able to grasp more of the class than I could in that other class. It was just too early in the morning and it was just so boring. So now I'm going to be hurring to band practice after class...

I really need to do my laundry and go to Wal-Mart sometime soon. I'm running out of clothes. But that's cool... I might do that tomorrow night after bid acceptance.
