This week I have this picture on my desktop and If you stare at it too long she moves.  She is like a conscience.  She is always digging for the truth or the real story in things and usually finds it.  She has a way of cutting down to the facts.  Her eyes can hypnotize. 

It's hard to let her grow up, but that's life.  Straight A's, other than that one nagging B she got and worried about.  She is wise in addition to her academics. 

She is graduating to a 26" mountain bike that I'm getting for her this week end as a surprise.  I told her how she couldn't maneuver one that size etc., I laid it on nice and thick.  I've got her convinced she's not getting one.  ;-)

Middle school is scary.  It's the age that can make or break your teenage years.  I only hope she has learned what not to do from her siblings--She says she has. In fact, she announced that when she was 6 years old during one of her many lectures to her older siblings.  Oh, and she will tell it!  But, she somehow manages to say it with love.  She has always been the level headed one with the ability to put everything back into perspective.  Maybe that will carry her through her middle school days.   She has also learned early on that others don't always  have her sense of fairness nor do they place any value in honesty. 

I'm having faith that it will be ok, for her, and for her Mommy.
Now, if I could just get her to clean her room.
