happy birthday!

Thanks a bunch! I'm celebrating right through to the eclipse on Saturday so you're right on time still! (Not that I'd be going crazy - I don't drink or anything like that but I'll keep the festive mood going a while. Besides my Dad turns 77 on the 10th so we've got lots to celebrate!

he! he! As a matter of fact - now I'm celebrating 7 days of work I have booked from Tuesday through next Wednesday plus my dad's big birthday is still coming on Saturday! So yeah, still celebrating! - March adds extra reasons for celebrations too - spring equinox and the tibetan new year... I don't celebrate St. Patty's Day but plenty do and there's a partial solar eclipse on the 19th!
What the heck - if I go to the Earth Calendar Almost every day I can usually find more reasons to celebrate too - it just seems a worthwhile focus to me! Even on the main heading page of the Earth Calendar they say "Celebrate Every Day!" I tend to agree - every day has something worth celebrating! Rather than focusing on the pain and suffering in the world - which I can only help with in small ways and which makes me appreciate my good fortune it tends to give me a feeling like it's at another's expense.
I find that looking for reasons for celebrations around the world reminds me that we are all fortunate in the grand scheme of things and we all have our own reasons to celebrate!

'tis a good point!
although i might have to argue with you about celebrating days of work. i guess you'll tell me you actually enjoy your work. to that i say, lucky you. you should celebrate just for that reason =)
so what are you doing to celebrate your dad's big birthday?

Hi Beverly! Thank You!
As of March, (someday near the beginning ot March...) I get to celebrate my two year anniversary here at MindSay!
plus I started a new site for "strictly garden info" at ourgardenblog.mindsay.com
and I'm looking forward to another gardening season approaching. This way I'll keep garden stuff and my philosophy a bit more separated but still linked! Now I really have more work to do on my website!
