Wreath for Winter

I'm currently at work and thought I'd take a moment to share some Christmas Cheer!

  We've had weather recently that certainly suits the season and yesterday was such a pretty morning, at least until the rain started! The snow was heavy on the trees and even the birds were eerily quiet! Once the winds started the snow was gone quickly from all the branches and tree limbs.

  It was a quiet Christmas this year. We made a point of making my late brother's fabulous rice and sausage stuffing for our turkey. And we were sure to toast both my brother and my dad at dinner. Miss them both dearly, we'll be developing some new traditions in order to fill in these sad gaps in our family! Still my mother and John and I and our sweet Jack Russell terrier Keisha, had a swell time.

  Holidays seem bitter sweet when we begin to take inventory of those who no longer share in Christmas Festivities. Keisha, we are thrilled to note managed to share this Christmas with us and if all has gone well with her surgery we may get to celebrate several more together. She had surgery just before Christmas to remove some very large stones from her bladder, and also what unfortunately ended up being a malignant tumor on her stomach. We are hopeful that all of the tumor is gone and that she'll live out the rest of her canine life naturally, before any other cancer cells might be able to grow.

  I've still more celebrations to attend to this holiday season and will be visiting my daughter's family tomorrow. My grand daughters are at a beautiful age and they are truly enjoying the festivities!

  I'm hoping all of you have had special moments to share with the people, places or family who matter in your lives! Blessings to you and yours this holiday season!

Hi sweetie! Thanks muchly!
Keisha's responding so well we are amazed, the vet too! Fingers are crossed we'll have a much longer relationship! Still what she has given to us is a precious reminder;
"Each day we have together is truly a gift, that's why they call it the Present" and so Living in the Present becomes my focus for now. I'll likely do a few blogs on it too, I'm sure others can relate and benefit from the sharing of such a revelation!
Cheers to you and yours!
