Sounds like geocaching wasn't very therapeutic.... rather infuriating, instead, evidently. That's too bad. How big is this container supposed to be? Painted camo jar, eh, lightly buried... dirt? This guy doesn't maintain his caches very well, evidently (took a look at his other hides to see if there were any patterns to discern). And I suppose the clue "is that a bridge over there" is a pretty obvious location clue? Any redeeming qualities to this one at all? Nice view? Sounds like he needs to up the difficulty and terrain!
I was gonna say maybe Blondie and Chinookcapt kicked it down the hill but sounds like he was there checking on it after that first try.
Oh well, Dig out the rock'n roll- time to shake it off.

For what it is worth.....I spent two hours searching for my last DNF- and ended up with two other cachers helping out. . . went home with my forearms all full of splinters from wrapping them around wooden beams. Took me nearly two weeks to settle down enough to venture back... of course, it was easy after others had found it and there were more clues in the logs.... aggravation is exhausting. Wish I could come search with you.... then drown our frustrations in a shot or two of some good tequila! Sorry it wasn't so much fun. Did your day get better, at least?
wow... even drama in the caching, eh? heheh.
your post about the uphill climb... (and the pain you're experiencing in today's post) TOTALLY reminded me of when i came out to visit justin. i don't remember if i told you this story... the good thing is, if i did, you can stop reading instead of trying to politely interrupt and stop me, heheh.
now... you know me, i don't exactly mesh with nature all too well. i had these BRAND NEW lime green chuck taylor converse high tops. and i mean... i think i got them in the mail the day before i left for my trip. brand spankin' new. i was wearing them on one of the days here, and mind you... there was the weird, "does he like me? do i like him?" vibe going on. justin takes me out to the redwoods on the way to ft bragg from ukiah and pulls over so we can do some sight seeing.
what he fails to mention is that a) it's muddy, b) it's humid, and c) it's a huge fucking uphill climb! and i am in NO shape for an uphill hike at all. we start the climb, and i'm okay. about 8 minutes into it, i am huffing and puffing... i can feel my face super bright red and i am starting to sweat.
this is NOT how a girl wants to look or feel when trying to make a guy her boyfriend. i am totally out of breath and have to suck it up and say, "i need to take a rest." justin was sweet as could be and was like, "no problem." but he wasn't out of breath or anything and not breaking a sweat at all.
i had to stop two or three more times on the climb up and by then, i was dripping in sweat... totally soaked. i felt like shit. i was so embarrassed. then we get to level ground... great, but it's so humid i have no chance of drying off, and to top it, he's got me crossing little creeks and mud puddles and totally ruined my lime green shoes. they're still stained.
but...... the boy loves me still, even after seeing me like that, heheh.
OH OH OH! my point was that after that, we drove to ft bragg and my legs TREMBLED... uncontrollably shook... whenever i stood still because they were so freaked out and weak from the climb. and for days, i was in pain.
