My dear Frank. Pete. Whatever. (I shall give you a name soon if you don't stick to one or another you choose yourself. And I will choose something odd, like Hengist or Humphrey or Gaetano or Aethelred.)
I'm sorry you have a cold! I am making chicken soup right now, from scratch--the broth is finished and I am about to chop up vegetables. Come to Ireland and you can sit in my window-seat with a comforter and read nice things while slurping chicken soup and sipping a nice single malt of something Irish. If I were there I would bring you cups of hot tea. However, I am not, and so I sympathise. Please get well. *hug*
There are more audiotapes of Medieval Lit. but I'm not sure where to find them. I think they are outlawed in some countries because of their somnolence-inducing properties. Except I like Chaucer. I have the Knyghtes Tales in middle English on mp3.
I thought perhaps you meant Francis Crake . . . which would also fit in with the Dismal History stuff, but I'm not sure . . . you are clever. I don't know
And I like your hat.
Anyway, do feel better. Please. Or I shall be forced to take drastic action and send you an e-card or something.

Egad! No no, had to travel on short notice and have merely been swamped. I actually have the day off tomorrow and so will be doing lots and lots and lots of catching-up reading and writing. The pic's nothing to do with the new monniker; the portrait is, of course, Henri Marie Raymond de Toulouse-Lautrec Monfa, modified with photoshop.
I have Beowulf on CD, and am thinking about some more technologically current Canterburies. I've unearthed a few old volumes of histories of the times, which I think I will prefer to literature initially, in order that I might set properly the stage for the jucier stories to follow. Still, I am voracious, and will welcome suggestions at any day or hour.
Incidentally, does one enjoy the time change in whatever part of the globe you currently inhabit? We've an extra hour of sleep here in the decadent motherland, so ha ha ha.... possibly.
Cheers, as always,
