Okay the last of the Mammoth Cave collection at least until we get to go again.

You just gotta be cheesy at the gift shops.

We had to walk through this mini monsoon down the hill, then some steps and even more so down the hill till we finally came to the entrance for the Historical tour. Needless to say we were soaked. I laughed the whole time.

A view of the salt petre mining excavation and artifacts that dated back to the civil war.

I feel blessed in my life so I'm thankful every day.

Re: Why don't you do right...
That is the way to go.  I also always start my day with a prayer of thanksgiving. It makes the whole day easier and brighter!

Re: Why don't you do right...
I do that every morning and night. Granted I may do it differently but it's still the same in it's own right.

As long as we are thankful and let the powers that be know it...

I'm seeing your pictures in super BIG version on my brother's extra large computer screen.  I'm not used to seeing things this big, makes the experience of looking at your pix that much more fun.  Seeing these images of the cave reminds me of the times I spent cave exploring in
Springfield, Missouri when I was a teen.  Looks like you guys had a lot of fun.

I hope you didn't mind I gave you guys a call yesterday night.  I was lonely!  Not so much today because I'm watching my nephews, but nonetheless, it would be good to hear your voice.  Hope you're well!  I'll update soon.

Re: Why don't you do right...
I love exploring things and caves bring out that excitement. That must've been fun when you were exploring those. Anything interesting?

Okay, I KNOW we must be linked because all yesterday I told Josh that I was thinking of you. In fact we drove to Black River Falls and I kept hinting to go to Stevens Point. Two things stopped me from popping over: One. I left my phone at home so Savannah had a means of calling while she was at the park. (Don't worry someone was home) Two. I couldn't remember your address. I can remember the general way to get to your place but I'd have to knock on all the doors looking for you.

When I heard your voice on my phone, from the voice-mail, I couldn't help but smile. I have to say you have the most beautiful voice!

Yep, seems we have been on the same wavelength!

The most interesting experience I've had in a cave was when I made too much noise squirming through a passage way and I woke up/scared hundreds of bats.  It was a strange sensation of all those bat bodies flying right by me and never once did they get caught on my clothes or hair or anything.  It was like living walls of wings exploding all around me.  Everyone else with me panicked, but I didn't!  I loved it.

Coolest thing I ever saw in a cave was a very large wall of signatures of people who explored a cave before our group did -- the oldest was from 1758!

My voice sounded beautiful?  I was so tired at the time!

I had a speech problem when I was a kid, so I had to learn to try to annunciate clearly, but I still sometimes slip up.  However I did once had an ambition to be a radio DJ.  One summer I did that for the local college radio station and I was so self conscious about how many times I said "ah" and "yeah!"  It was fun.  Wish I could do that again.

Yeah, you gotta act out in the gift shops! I had a picture of my friend Ellie in a cowboy hat and it totally suited her....but yeah, we all goofed off in that store.

Shoot my best friend bought a funky drum made by Native Americans for her boyfriend's dad! XD
