Sooo much to say! Where to begin? My weekend was jammed packed full of soo many events but the fun never ends... ok maybe it does but it sure makes time go by fast. Ahoy!! Long post ahead!

On Friday was my littlest sis's, byzantium high school graduation. She looked very pretty even though the gymnasium was sweltering.

I unfortunately didnt take many good pictures as I would have liked. She was avoiding me and hid when I would take her picture. When I did ask for one she would make faces so they wouldnt be nice. Oh well. :P So candid pictures were the way to go.

On Saturday Iverness63(Josh) drove up to Black River Falls again. We hit the antique store again and I purchased the hat and a few others. I will have to model them for you sometime. :) I also picked up an old early 1900s dress. On our way home we were both tired and so we stopped at a Microtel and spent the night. We ended up getting a suite and it was sweet! It had its own kitchen, windowseat and other nice amenities. It was like a small vacation.

One of my purchases.

On Sunday we stopped at State Street and did some shopping before heading home. I loved the hot weather!! We stopped into a greek restaurant and I had a pasta salad for lunch while Josh had a greek Pita Pizza. It was perfectly light and yummy. I picked up some great shirts, incense and a window glass. After that we hit the bookshops. There is an old bookshop on State Street. I picked up the book Falling Up by Shel Silverstein. When we got to the checkout the person behind the counter commented on how good of book it was. We agree of course. ;) But then he started telling how Shel Silverstein would come into this bookstore all the time in fact he showed us a signed reciept from him. How neato is that!!

Later that evening we met up with some friends and went to a race. It was a tournament distruction or something like that. I cannot seem to remember the name. But I may end up racing a car in it. :D Here are the pics from it.

Here are our friend's kids and how cute are these kids!? Suprisingly the baby slept throught he whole thing. It sure was loud too.

Josh, nanner and our friend watching them put bubbles onto the track.

Savannah cooling off.

A candid pic of me, Josh and our friend.

Some of the fireworks. What a nice display too.

Finally on Memorial Day I went to a birthday party for Josh's cousin. I met some of his family for the first time and was lucky enough to get a nice motorcycle ride too. I miss riding a motorcycle!

So those of you who stayed with me during this big post, thanks! :D

Re: What a weekend it has been.
It makes for a more exciting race because you need to control the car more. So more chance to see crashes. I havent heard of it either. haha.

Re: What a weekend it has been.
Hehe. The way I see it is Im not much of a spectator. I would rather be doing what Im watching. So I figure I may try my hand at these races.

Still you managed to do so much in such a short time. Great pictures, hunting the elusive graduate student is very tiring. Smiley

Your post wasn't that long at all! Pics don't count! Heh heh! Shel Silverstein lives in Wisconsin?!

What an awesome weekend you had! OMG, you're so tiny!

foreverknight on
Re: What a weekend it has been.
Im not that tiny. Im 5'8. Josh is just a half an inch taller than me.. his hat makes him look taller. Then of course his friend Mikey is like a giant! Hahaha. I suppose it doesnt help that I slouched there; kinda melting in Josh's arms.

I am not sure if Shel Silverstein lived in WI, but aparently he frequented it when he was alive.

I DIDN'T KNOW HE WAS DEAD! OMG!

Josh looks a lot taller than you, and you're right, 5'8" isn't tiny! Must be the "melting" effect... awwww, how sweet!!!!!

Re: What a weekend it has been.
Yeah I think he died in '99. Know whats odd? When either of us have our shoes off we seem the same height but if one of us is wearing shoes they seem soo much taller. I was wearing thongs(flip-flops or whatever others call them) in those pics and he had tennies.

Re: What a weekend it has been.
Same for me and my husby! When I wear shoes and he's in bare feet, I'm way taller. When he's in normal shoes and I'm in heels, same thing. When I'm barefoot, and he's in shoes, I'm shorter. When we're both barefoot, he's only a smidgen taller.

Re: What a weekend it has been.
It messes with my mind!! haha. I so used to seeing one height but not with Josh... gee that almost sounds perverted. Bwhahahahahahahhahaa
