OMGosh! Until this person described his family, I thought I was listening to my ex (thank you Lord) son-in-law! The voice was dead on! And just the kind of self righteous anger he would have exhibited. Everybody knows that most all products are doing this. Smaller sizes, same or higher prices. You either go along and buy it or choose something else, a different brand or a larger package. Or barring that, provide your family with home grown food or meat you hunted and put on the table yourself. What did he think he accomplished with this? People these days.
And just fyi...that was an east Texas accent. And attitude. I am a Texan but this guy gives Texans a bad name.
LMAO I am Nebraskan and lived in TX for a year. I must admit I took issue with what Texans called meat cuts and packaging in the Panhandle! I had to buy two of everything to feed my family of four! My hubby is a petite IA farm boy no taller then 5'9 and a buck 65 at his heaviest and have two small petite children and I am only 5'5 and a plump mix! I don't buy Jimmy Dean because even the 16 oz tubes never feed my garbage disposal of a family! And don't get me started on their steak cuts! I had to resort to loading up camping coolers when we went home with meat just to save money!
This guy was hillouroius and I don't think he gives Texans a bad name at all. He was voicing for everyone who has issues with what companies and stores are doing. Sure eating smaller portions is big now but come on recipes and packaging smaller items and then claiming it will feed a family of 4 or 5 is ridicioules even if you dole out proper portions! If I followed recipes to the latter my family would NEVER have enough to eat!
