Well, the last match of the first day has not long finished, so I suppose I best write a quick blog about it. If you're happening to be playing AWFF's World Cup Predictions game (and if not, you're too late to join), you can use these blog entries to keep tabs on the countries and players you chose. I'm only going to give you the scores and scorers though, so that I don't bore you too much :P

So then, let's start with the opening game, which was Germany vs Costa Rica. The final score was:
Germany - 4 (Lahm, Klose x2 & Frings)
Costa Rica - 2 (Wanchope x2)

The second game was Poland vs Ecuador, which hasn't long finished. The final score for this game was:
Poland - 0
Ecuador - 2 (Tenorio & Delgado)

Thus, Group A's table at the end of the day looks like this:

1 - Germany
2 - Ecuador
----
3 - Costa Rica
4 - Poland

Now then, onto a quick preview of tomorrow's games, of which there are three.

At 2pm, England kick off their World Cup campaign against Paraguay. This game's being shown on BBC1. At 5pm, it's Trinidad & Tobago vs Sweden, and is being shown on ITV1. These games are both in Group B. And from Group C, at 8pm, it's Argentina vs Ivory Coast, which might be a rather interesting game. This one's also on ITV1.

And that's it really. I'll break up these daily WC blogs with personal blogs, so that I don't bore all of you :p I'll try and write one after the England game, though to be fair there's not an awful lot to write about, unless I start from Wednesday and work up to this evening :P

Still, until tomorrow..bye bye!
