Sup ya'll, I know it has been a minute since I last blogged but hey I am back now and I have some questions. I have a girlfriend who recently returned from Iraq and will be returning again in a few months. She has not yet fired her weapon she says and claims to be ready for action.  I wonder about this because what does it mean that she is ready for battle? Is that healthy you think? I am not talking about the question of whether woman should see combat but whether anyone should be ready for action. Ready to kill, maim or mutilate for a cause any cause at all. She says that she feels ready to "get some" to use her vernacular for armed combat but how did she get ready is my question.  You may however discuss whether or not women should engage in combat if you like. Or what you think the minimum age for soldiers should be.

Do you think that you could be trained to be ready to kill. Not trained to kill mind you, of course you can train a person to kill but can you train a man or woman to "be ready" for the ACT of killing. To be ready for what comes after the trigger releases and the round makes contact with the target? Sound off and let me know your thoughts. You too onewalrus or onewairus I dont know which you prefer so I thought I would put both.

Well that all for now. Sound Off, 1 2 3 4, 1! 2!

Be as safe as one can and French a Sista!

Re: Combat Blues
People fighting for the "right" to go to war for a government always amuses me. Its like a woman KKK member complaining about patriarchy in the Klan.
But anyway - the military is designed to turn people into killers. It discourages free thought. It is pretty much the enemy of freedom IMO.
If someone wants to fight for a rich persons whim more power to them. The more people who willingly fight the less change I will be drafted.
Thats my perspective.
