I had to stop a million times to rest on the way back up...check out the depth. There was so little oxygen at this depth that as soon as we got down there we had to turn around immediately and head back up....We were informed that on an earlier tour that someone had to be carried out by four men. hmmm maybe I should have tried that! This walking stick insect was waiting for us when we made it back to the top! Isnt it cool!? Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Well that's all for now, how about some poetry...here goes...

A Dream Within A Dream

Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow-
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand-
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep- while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream? --Edgar Allan Poe

AMASING PICTURES! There is so much I want to comment on... but mainly the awesomeness of that insect. I've never seen anything like it and it looks awful big, no?

It all looks so otherwordly and adventerous. I'd like to be able to go there one day. Is it there in Texas?

I adore the poem too. Poe is truelly one of my very favourites.
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.
Love it.

Well, glad ya had fun!

Yep it is in San Antonio Texas and it is fantastically fun!
I like Poe a lot but he doesnt have a lot of sunny poetry so I don't post him much, since there was a cave I figured Poe would work well.

Thanks!

Wow thanks! I have actually sold some of my photos to a local publication. It was great to see my work in an actual newspaper. Even if it is a free publication!
