Why I Want to Have Kids

My phone call with Claudia just ended with her telling me, "Sorry, I have to go get these guys (Enzo and Winter) to bed" and before she hung up, getting to hear, "Honey, we poop in the potty (not on the floor, like Miss Winter was apparently doing)".

DELIGHTFUL.

New-found appreciation of all you parents out there who survive(d) loveliness like that. I just actually thanked my parents for putting up with me.

Can't wait to see them this weekend :)

(this phone call started because she came into the store today, apparently, and my dad was able to tell me her toe-nail color and that she had a toe-ring, but ... apparently, Claudia's brown hair is ACTUALLY black. Oh daddy...)

Haha things like that are both birth control and time-clock-tugging for me. Part of me goes "Oh, heck no, techno! I am NOT ready for that!" But another part of me (that damn biological programming) jumps up and down like a little girl going "Babies! Babies! Babies!! Look! Look! They're so cute! I want one!!!!"

Haha! I'm going to have to steal "heck no, techno", because I like it greatly.

It makes me feel the same way; I go back and forth on whether or not I will EVER be ready to push one or two out and then care for them. I'm leaning towards 'I will one day get there', but the more I teach and see how wrong things can go ... don't know.

Exactly. I'm incredibly torn. I would love to, but I see how much things get harder, even if you're in a stable lifestyle and position.

There never seems to be a good time to just have kids anymore. I feel like in today's society it just happens, and you work around it.

:/ I know. Even when you try to plan it, it doesn't always work out. Take my brother and his wife for example. They decided they wanted to get pregnant. When they did, my brother ended up hating his job and quitting. They're...virtually unemployed. Struggling. Planned pregnancy. Exhibit A.

I would much rather plan it than it be sprung upon me via accident/something worse, but I think knowing about it would definitely help.

Yesterday I did NOT want kids because my campers were all evil (Full moon really does ruin them). Today ... back to my dream of 2 or 3
