It is a new style scarf  a Vertical scarf. Horizontal scarves thought they could warm you by surrounding you. Vertical scarves work by running from the nape of your neck down past the tailbone and out into the world. Yours might be both horizontical and vertical. Wrap around the neck then down the spine.

I love  your quilt or blanket. It allows you to leave the nightlight on and count the sheep as you fall to sleep. Nice concept.

it is excessively large.

my blanket is AMAZING.  It's actually my proof that my parents love me.  That thing was in our house my entire life, and the three of us loved it, used it all the time.  So when I went away to school, I assumed I'd get my blanket, but they were like 'no, it goes in the den, and it stays here when you move out' and that was a big fight and I was so sad to not have my blanket that I'd depended on for 18 years.  Moved in the first day, put my new sheets on the bed and was prepared to go to Bed Bath that night for the NYU discount to buy among other things, a blanket, and there it was, sitting in a suitcase.

What a long, dorky story that is.

the only issue with my (reversible!!!!) sheep blanket is one of my roommates freshman year (or their equally considerate friends) sat on my bed, dropped the gum out of their mouth...and left it...so there are scars from that event.  Otherwise, as good as day one.

That is hardly a long dorky story.
