I just got an email from Ticketmaster or one of those concert ticket websites.

May 1st, 2009: "Hoodwink"

May 2nd, 2009: "Bamboozle, Day 1"
Fall Out Boy, and a million other bands (no one else is assigned yet)

No Doubt, and a million other bands (no one else is assigned yet)

Ummm....HI.

Does anyone know that I am already DYING to get to New Jersey the first weekend in May?
Remember in September when I tried to get to New Found Glory and we had to leave the show early because of fuckin' Jersey Transit issues?
And does anyone remember how I've seen Green Day 3 times in concert and cried EACH time they've gotten off stage, so seeing NFG (my 2nd favorites) covering the music of my favorites might actually kill me?

What an amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing set of shows that will be. I have to get this organized, because I'm not missing this.

Oh, no apologies. I was talking to my friend about going to the show, since we're both dirt poor, and she was like, 'how much would all 3 days cost?' and I let her know. So then she asked, 'do we need to go to all 3 days?' which we don't. In fact, I'd be okay with JUST the first 1, but if no one really good is playing on the 2nd day (or the first Bamboozle day), we could skip that, but I really did want to see No Doubt, so I'd want to go the 2nd day, too. I LOVE No Doubt; I'm not fully in love with Gwen Stefani on her own, but with her band....excellent.

Right now it's all a pipe dream, because I have to get tickets ($$) and book a train down to New York ($$) and make sure I have places to stay and be able to get out of teaching at like noon on that Friday but... it's fun to dream.

Especially after my last concert debacle.

I would die to see No Doubt. I love them so much. I still listened to Gwen when she went solo, she started out okay but then it just got really wierd. I don't know I guess.

I almost got to see them a few years ago, right before Gwen went solo, but then we couldn't get there, which SUCKED.

I loooooooooove concerts. I got spoiled going to them in college because my best friend was a promoter for Atlantic Records, and she got us free tickets to see EVERYTHING.

I haven't been to a show in a LOOOOOOOOOONG time and I am in withdrawal. I almost got to see Ani DiFranco the Monday before Thanksgiving, but that also never panned out.

I can understand how me being really excited about seeing one of my favorite bands covering the music of what might be my absolute favorite band would be confusing ...
