Where does it say you can't eat lobster?
Leviticus 11:9-12
"Of all the creatures living in the water of the seas and the streams, you may eat any that have fins and scales. But all creatures in the seas or streams that do not have fins and scales — whether among all the swarming things or among all the other living creatures in the water — you are to detest. And since you are to detest them, you must not eat their meat."

Well, this is certainly new to me. I have never seen it in this context before. However, I believe (but will do more research) that the context is supposed to be for the Jewish people of the day. I am sure that in the new testament when Jesus said "One man's faith allows him to eat everything but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables." (Romans 14:2) he was talking about the rules set before the Jews on what they can eat and what they can't eat.
I don't, personally, believe this rules still stands. Unless, of course you are jewish. I am not sure if that is one of the things Jews cannot eat...
Interesting.
Leviticus is the book of the bible most people quote to prove God is against homosexuality. Actually Leviticus is a book of kosher rules for the Levites so it also talks about what is clean to eat and how a woman should leave the house for ten days when she menstruates. It also says that anything she touches during this time is unclean.
Oh, well.. what an interesting book.
I haven't not, to be honest, read much of the old testament. But, that has been one of my goals. Maybe this is my chance to get in there and begin studying it.

No offense taken. Actually a friend of mine corrected me yesterday and I didn't even think about coming here and amending it.
Thanks...
