The "Arabian Days" go on with a mixed load of duties and amenities. I am naturally inclined to discuss the amenities... so, here are some random conversations I have had.
 
One day I wasn't feeling well...
- Chris (My "bird flipping", Dr. Dre fan friend from Florida): Go to the sick call place, just do it!
- Me: No! Seeing the doctor makes me nervous.
- Chris: Antonio, you gotta see a doctor NOW 'cause you look like SH*T; actually it's worse than that. It's like someone chopped off your head, put it on a stick, and mopped a floor all covered with...
I DIDN'T LET HIM FINISH THE SENTENCE!! I just got into his van...
 
In my office...
- American woman: Good morning. I want a Master's degree.
- Me: Excellent. What's your Bachelor's in?
- Woman: I don't have a Bachelor's. I want a Master's.
- Me: Indeed. Anyhow, when you start out College, and you want a Master's Degree... there are a few steps in between...
- Woman: I know I can get a Master's in two years!!
- Me: Well, I believe that being highly motivated is a very important thing while pursuing a College degree, HOWEVER...
- Woman: It's not about motivation. A PSYCHIC told me I can do it!
- Me: Oooh.
 
Booking a flight...
- Indian dude: Help me! Find a good flight for me, Vadim!!
- Vadim (My pragmatic friend from Ukraine): I am trying. I am trying! Where's the "confirm button"?? Al Jazeera SU*KS A*S!!
- Indian dude: SUCCESS?! SUCCESS...going home...hooray...yippee...SUCCESS!
- Me: Actually, he said...
- Indian dude: Hooray.....yippee...yippee!!
- Me: Never mind...
 
This is a summary of what is happening over "HERE". As the homecoming approaches, though, I am starting to think about over "THERE" more often. For instance, I had a long conversation with antipodes  the other day. When we finished talking, I had a big grin all over my face...but I couldn't help thinking, "Gosh...I miss HOME...SO MUCH!!"
Later on, my mother called me, and said she is piling up WINE CASES in the basement FOR ME. She added that my favorite wine will be on sale next week...so she will pile up more cases! The funny thing is that she took a picture of it and emailed it to me....AWWW
GOD BLESS PARENTS WITH A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR!!!! ...and now I am thinking...my mom is not very tall...but...if each case contains ten bottles...and there are three cases in each row... LET'S DO THE MATH! HIC

Yeah, I LOVED the fact that she posed next to the wine....SHE'S COOL LIKE THAT!! My favorite wine is PRIMITIVO DI MANDURIA!! (It's a RED!!) Keep it in mind the next time you and Robert go to the mall. 

...and something tells me you remember THIS STORY ... Smiley

I'll be sure to check out Primitivo di Manduria! I just looked it up online to see if there are any distributors  in the area, and it looks like there are a few. Of course, it won't be the same as your wine buying adventure, ha ha! (Was that the same trip where you visited the crazy smelly guy's restaurant?)

 

I think this is the first time I have seen Elio's face! The last time I saw a photo, I only saw the other end as he was running out of the picture. Anyway, he looks really sweet.

Hehe...Chris is AWESOME, even though some people find his sense of humor too..."flamboyant". He's your "neighbor". If you get to see a policeman listening to loud music (more specifically to a song that says F*** tha police)....THAT'S HIM!!!

My mom is the AWESOMEST....and she's got great hair....too bad I have my dad's hair...

I'll get back to Naples on the 9th of July. I'll get to Rome at 5 p.m. ...and I guess I'll be in Naples just in time for DINNER...

Tell the American woman that she can also get an Associates Degree in two years. (It's like half a bachelor's degree and you can usually transfer to another college to finish an additional two years to get the bachelor's). I'm not sure what her eventual goal was!!
