I enjoyed the photo but guess I missed what the plants are doing that they aren't supposed to be.
The redish grass which is growing under the trees is Little Bluestem. Typically it needs full sun to grow well, so it is found in open prairies and not under live oak trees. It appears that the trees have at some point in the past been "goated-up" enough to let in enough sunlight for the bluestem to grow and there is still a healthy population growing there in the relative shade.
Ok, thanks for the explanation. I felt it had to do with the grass under the trees but didn't know the type of grass and that it shouldn't normally grow there.
Im not really well rounded in plant info, but everything seems so green, but the grass. Is that it? Love the pic but if I was right your eye does draw in on the grass and the dryness
It is interesting... how plants have a mind of their own at times...
