I think I'm a bird!

The strangest thing is this was the second time I'd had that thought in the past few days....(being a bird).   The wind on a mountain pass we ventured to this weekend was unreal.... blowing in a cold front (the one that brought snow here to Colorado) . . . . I was watching a hawk hovering in the air motionless on the strong, sustained winds and I remembered a song a friend wrote about being the wind... a metaphorical look at his own life.  I decided I wasn't the wind... it was so steady, so forceful------ no, I feel more like . . . the bird.   

Both situations made me smile!

I'm glad that I was able to bring a smile to your face.  The birds around here are overjoyed at the huge crop of berries on the evergreen sumacs.  They should be very well fed this winter

If I were a bird, I would look at this bounty and think groceries!! But, I'm a people so I look and think... beautiful!!
