Hard Candy and Silent Hill the second time around

I have just come from the movies and saw this sick, depraved movie. It stars Ellen Page the girl who is playing Shadowcat in X-Men 3. I don't even know if I can describe the movie, but I will try. It is about a 32 year old man who is chatting with this 14 year old girl on the net. And they agree to meet and end up back at his place. So you think she is the innocent girl and is about to get seduced by this guy. Turns out though that she drugs him and ties him up and has every intention of (read no further if you intend to see this movie) castrating him. See, he is a photographer and takes pictures of underage girls. So she has him pegged as a pedophile, all the while he denies it. She finds his safe and low and behold he has a stash of kiddie porn and she even finds a picture of him with a girl that has been missing. So of course he still denies having anything to do with it, but this sick, twisted girl is what makes this movie disturbing. I mean they spend about a half hour building up to her castration of him...it is just sick sick sick. And yet I find myself wanting more of it. The acting was great and the story was great as well. I also saw Silent Hill again and I must say it's even better the second time. Now there are some parts with really bad acting and hokey dialogue. Plus Sean Bean has the WORST fake American accent ever. I mean a movie like this he doesn't really have to have an American accent, it wouldn't hurt the film if he was British. I mean British people do live here you know. Other than that I noticed that they even use sound effects from the video game in the movie and use some of the same camera angles. This is what video game movies should be. Silent Hill is the only game that had me scared out of my wits while playing because it is like being in a horror movie and you control the character. The movie left me with a lump in my throat the whole time I was watching. That is all for now.
