Welcome to this, the begining of an unknown length of time spent in a relationship with a screen and a keyboard typing up what may be garbage, or perhaps something clever, witty, poetic or philosophical.
I'd be more inclined to believe the former theory of garbage.

I'm a uni student about to start my 3rd year in a surveying and spatial info systems degree. Its a type of engineering. I am hoping to graduate and become involved in the field of hydrography - the mapping of bodies of water etc.

The main reason I'm starting this thing off is I just need a place to write the many thoughts that fly through my brain. I am the kind of dude who "bottles everything up", and of course that is considered to be unhelpful. So, if I write stuff out here, then maybe it will be a constructive way of letting things out, and helping me see how stupid I'm really being.

So, welcome along for the ride. I hope this will be not an entertaining hilarious read, but just a casual interface in which I can explore the depth of relationship that one can have with a screen full of pixels. Enjoy. Comment. Make yourself known to me.

Peace out

Re: Welcome
Maybe I should have read further. . .UNSW. . Sydney right.

I studied an intensive anatomy course in the medical school there in 2001.

Thank you for the lovely welcome.

Yeah, UNSW for the moment. Though I grew up in Canberra, and much prefer it when I go back there on holidays.
Intensive anatomy course? Sounds a little too much for me. I see all the Med students hard at work, and I'm thankful I'm a fairly relaxed engineering type

Re: Welcome
Yeah, I'm a Melbourne girl and Sydney is a bit much for me too.

I'm actually an artist and was studying the brain through my work at the time, so the only way I'd actually get to hold one was to study anatomy (I don't think I could do it now, I'd be too emotional). UNSW was the only Uni I could find that would allow Artists into their labs.
