The white dogwood at the top is in full bloom and we think it is around 45 years old.
This dogwood was grown from a seed and before they built housed here it was very wooded.
My husband grew up in this neck of the woods.
The purple Iris came from my husband grandmother Kulhman farm. I planted some different color ones on the hill I hope they come out very soon. If they do I will post them.
It seems that everything is coming up all at once so soon I will be able to show off my garden.
I planted some pansy in pots around the front and back of the house along with rabbit ears.
The last picture I had trouble downloading but I croped the picture and it finally downloaded. This is a white Lillac tree. We grew this from a sapping from his mother lillac.

Purple Iris -- I like its color. So pretty! Smiley
When you finally get all of your garden done, do please post them.
Already I am looking forward to seeing it in its entirety.
Wish I had the 'green thumb' like you tho cos I love flowers. Smiley

Oh, the purple Iris' are gorgeous!  Reminds me of my Grandma's house!  I tried transplanting some, they never bloomed... =(  I've never seen a white Lilac.  I bet it smells heavenly!  Gorgeous photos!

absolutely beautiful! my irises are just now making buds, will bloom  in a week or two. my Lilly of the valley are blooming and are wonderful, so dainty.Does iris blooms change colors after a while, mine seem to have, from lavendar to yellow or white, over the years.

we had a dogwood when we first moved here, but it died after a couple of years. But our woods are loaded with them in the area it is so awesome to drive around to see the woods all speckled with dogwood and red bud blooms..Our oak are just now awakening and beginning to bloom, if I remember correctly I get all sneezy and watery eyed when they do!

Re: Spring has finally arrived.
Our Irises are alway's purple. I think if I would mix white or some other colors in with them they probably would change color. Today I went out to buy some gerber daisies. I have regular dasies but I really love the Gerber dasies. Last week I bought some pansey and rabbit's ears. I have already planted them in containers. When they get a little biger I will take pictures of them for everyone to see.
