The liberal diocese of Newark, New Jersey, has named Canon Michael Barlowe, a priest who is reportedly openly gay, as one of four candidates for the post of bishop! This move risks deepening a conflict with the global Anglican Communion and maybe even causing a split within ECUSA!

I mentioned this to "Semi" in an e-mail and his response was:
"I have a question: are these openly gay bishops having relations with a partner?  If so, that's like electing a bishop who was living with a woman."

My response to "Semi" is as follows: "
That is correct and your analogy is spot on! Clearly it is being done by the ultra-liberals and homosexual lobby to thumb their nose at the Anglican Communion and the Bible believers within ECUSA. I believe it is a concerted effort, many years, actually decades, in the making, to destroy the Christian Church. There are also the "revisionists", many of which are "neo-conservatives", who believe that the Holy Spirit is doing a "new work". These people have a faulty logic and exegesis of critical scriptures and buy into false arguments offered by the ultra-liberal and homosexual lobby.

You know as well as I do that, once upon a time, the Anglican Church was the jewel in the crown of Christianity. All the best hymns were Anglican (I include John and Charles Wesley in that crown!), many of the best preachers were Anglican, the best "movements" of the Church were Anglican, some of the most notable clergy, apologists and laymen were Anglican. Thankfully there are still notables today! Bishop N.T. Wright to name one.  :-)   Anyway, this is what makes it all the more sad! Clearly ECUSA has lost it's way in the gospel of social justice! While social justice is important, the church should remain true to the biblical and ecclesiastical traditions of 4000+ years of Church & Jewish history! I would like to know just what they would do with blessed Paul's admonitions against such behavior! 1 Corinthians 6:19-20: "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."
In His Peace!

Re: Enough is enough!
Yes, and up in verse 11 of that same chapter - "such were some of you", indicating that these people now "were not".
