Here' s the physics hw if you need it Dizzy.

  1. A photon of green light has a frequency of approximately 6.0 x 1014 Hz. Calculate the energy associated with this photon.
  2. Determine the energy of a photon having a wavelength of 4 x 10-7 meters.
  3. Calculate a photon’s energy in electronvolts if it has 8 x 10-19 J of energy.
  4. What is the minimum energy required to ionize a hydrogen atom in the n = 3 state?
  5. An electron in a mercury atom jumps from level a to level g by absorbing a single photon. What is the energy of the photon in electronvolts?
  6. How does the energy of an atom change as the atom goes from its ground state to an excited state?
  7. Determine the frequency of the photon emitted when an excited hydrogen atom changes from energy level n = 3 to n = 2.
  8. A hydrogen atom emits a 2.55 electronvolt photon as its electron changes from one energy level to another.
    1. Determine the energy level change for the electron.
    2. Express the energy of the emitted photon in joules.
    3. Determine the frequency of the emitted photon.
