I'm not even sure how one would define a good artist. I think they're good but then, the only important thing is that you enjoy doing it.
i do though.
i don't see myself as a good artist in the aesthetic sense; i don't think it's pretty, but i like my art, because i understand it.
it's an extension of myself.
some artists though, i say they're good, because their artwork conveys an important message, or is beautifully done (in one way or another). then again, all art conveys a message, even if the message is that there is no message?
does that make sense? it makes sense to me.

It makes sense. The expression of the thought or emotion is art, not the quality of the finished product.
That is true, though sometimes I wish I could create something more aesthetically pleasing, just for beauty's sake.
It would be nice.
It would be nice.
Well I definitely think the one on the left is pretty, and I would also point out that as long as you keep doing it you'll keep getting better. Which is why enjoying something is the most important thing, if you love doing it you will naturally keep practicing and your skill will always be increasing.
The first one is beautiful, I enjoyed the other one just as much though!

Did you paint these? Looks like they're on canvas. I think it's great that you do it simply for pleasure and that it relaxes you.
You're welcome
