Finally, a day to get outside and enjoy this glorious Indian Summer.  Decided to hike UP a familiar trail we usually hike DOWN- some different views, beautiful sunshine.

Lunch on a rock with a view- nothing better.... smoked oysters, cheese, crackers and wine..... an apple for dessert!   Portable Party!

I guess it is an acquired taste ..... or not, for some.  For me, seafood, any type.  Cheese, wine.....  Crab legs and peach daquiris are harder to throw in a fanny pack lol!

Great pix!  I was amazed this year, as we drove up to Granby at different times of the day, to see how different everything can look, even tho it was a familiar drive!  The terrain looks quite unusual with the sunlight/shadows at varying times of the day.  I think I'm partial to the early morning hues.  Thanks!

Thanks.  It's a view much like ones I've posted before... a favorite of mine, as well.  I do actually prefer hiking back into the canyons, though . . . and losing sight of civilization!

I can understand that but these showing civilization at a distance like this are pretty awesome.
