testing the waters with my tippy toes......I dialed the guys work voice mail in the evening to see at least what he sounds like.  the voice, the delivery, the tone....the rate of speech, all can tell a whole lot y know.  hehe.   it could be an attractor or the kiss of death, or anywhere in between.  well nothing turned me off so i'll go for it.  nothing ventured nothing gained right?

so tell me your take on this whole fiasco.  today at work we all ordered lunch from Chipotle.  (i should get commission for mentioning them so much in my blog..hehe...love the chipotle.... ANYWays!!)   There is a fax-in menu, it was  passed around the office and it found it's way back up to me.  I was the last one to jot down their order and so I faxed it in.

at first, someone else offered to pick up the food if a 2nd person was willing to go with her.  well she got bogged down with work, I was going to be that 2nd person ....i offered to go on my own without her cuz it was a nice day, i didn't mind parking and walking, and i was super hungry, i wanted my food now!  lol.

well most of us finished lunch and was going back to work, i was out of the lunch room by now.  here ENTERS ms. DOO doo brown.  (a.k.a. Junior.  for being a mini size of our evil supervisor.  brown noser, brown everything really.  she's way far up there in my supervisor's ass.  she is her wonderchild and she can do no wrong.  rather she is perfect and anything she complains about needs attention immediately....even if someone else might have brought the same exact problem up and it was brushed off rudely).

well she starts whining and complaining that no one asked her if she wanted lunch.  that she would have wanted chipotle..  she goes back and bitches to her office mate (my former office mate Jill...who tells me everything.  too much maybe for my own good) that we did it again...., we completely left the 2 out when ordering lunch.  I hadn't heard any of this until later on in the day.

well here's the infurating part.....my supervisor comes up to me when i got back from lunch and asks..... "did you ask the back office if they wanted to order?"  i was flabbergasted by this question.  first, it wasn't my freakin job to gather the lunch order, and why the hell is she coming to me with this?  i responded by saying first of all Jill hates chipotle, and [Ms. Doo doo brown], i don't know about and i waved my hand like it really wasn't my concern.  my supervisor then says well it would have been nice to have asked them.  wait... FREEZE.  am I suddenly in kindergarden??????   I told her that I wasn't in charge of the order taking, someone else had initiated it and it was just passed around, and that she needed to go talk to whoever that was.  i only faxed it in.  period.  she walked away.

now everytime we order something, someone always gets left out either because they are behind closed doors with patients, or they just get plain forgotten.  yeah sucks,.  but it's all just circumstantial....nothing personal.  believe me, i've been at the short end of that stick.  they have had birthday cake celebrations for employees and I would only discover it as I passed by and saw a half eaten cake.

naturally Ms. doo doo brown was blaming me for this oversight because it's not a secret that I have been disliking her the past couple of days.
i tried to smooth things over by telling Ms. doo doo brown that i'm sorry that nobody asked her, i wasn't in charge of ordering and definitely not to take it personally, and that if she was hungry she could have my leftover half in the fridge.

i needed to tell her this also b/c i'm sure she has told my supervisor that i've been hostile to her the last couple of days.  and I am also sure that she didn't tell my supervisor why I might have been hostile towards her and that I had grounds to be extremely upset.  that's a problem that needs to be dealt with separately!!!  don't blame me for your poor baby being left out of lunch.  i have no obligation to be nice to her.  every single one of those 8 people who ordered had the opportunity to ask Ms. doo doo brown if she wanted in.  why i am the target.......blah.... it is all so unnecessary.

i don't know how to deal with issues i have w/ ms. doo doo brown.  people keep telling me not to discuss it with my supervisor like i want to because it will just totally backfire on me.  i don't know what else to do....besides being super direct with her and when another incident occurs where she gets me really upset, making sure to confront her out in the open so there's no chance of her manipulating details and having things misconstrued.  i'll tell you about this recent incident but later on that.  i'm going to try and shut her out of my mind and have a decent weekend!

okay.  sorry guys for ranting and raving about this.  i need an outlet and for that i am thankful for having a blog!
good night.

Re:
Who told you not to talk to your supervisor? I'd say the complete opposite. Just be reasonable and calm about it and just explain everything, -even- the things YOU did wrong. I'm sure she'll understand. But then again, this is the only entry of yours I've read and so I can't really give the greatest advice. She might know this "Ms. Doo Doo Brown" for years and that may be why she only listens to her. Either talk to her or give her time to see that you don't lie/exagerate on things and that she can trust your own judgement. Even over Ms. Doo Doo Brown.

Re:
thanks for the comment!   i appreciate it!  .....this is a real big stinker for me lately.

Ms. doo doo brown is relatively new, 1.5 yrs.  i have 3 years seniority on her in terms of my time there.  she's 6 years younger than me.  my supervisor took my job position away from me and gave it to her without more than a week's notice.   ...which i'm fine with now knowing it wasn't my lack of performance, and i wasn't personally tied to that position.  but the manner in which they did it was very upsetting to me.  her and my supervisor have this nasty mother/daughter type of bond going.  everybody in the office thinks its nasty and unprofessional how they carry on but nobody has the guts to say anything.  my supervisor is not a nice lady...bitchy, spiteful, catty, two faced...everything you name it.   i'd rather be stuck in a room with Ms. Doo doo brown, than my supervisor.  i was actually close to her before things started evolving at the office.   so the REAL problem here is the supervisor enabling all this crap to go on.   people are afraid to go to her with any problems that might personally insult her managing capabilities..... a couple of people have been fired when they brought up issues.   one for complaining to a doctor about how her work hours were slashed in half and not offered unemployment.  not following chain of command and not going straight to the supervisor about it really insulted her.  another (really lovely sweet woman) was fired for complaining that she was hired as the business manager but she felt more like a glorified secretary for the supervisor.   both were legit and real complaints i'd say.   call it a love for power....it's evil!  heh.

sorry to unload all this in my reply to you...:S  but a fresh outside perspective is always welcome

Re:
Mm... So the supervisor is kind of raising Ms. Doo Doo Brown to be her evil heir or something? Cuz thats what it sounds like to me. And this isn't unloading.. it's just telling me what happened.

Maybe you should go to her (the supervisor's) boss and explain everything. Tell him what happened to those that had -tried- to talk to the lady and then were rudely fired. I don't see why even that you were taken out of the old job and replaced with someone new. If you were doing fine, then they shouldn't had a reason to do so. Unless the supervisor lied to her boss(es) about things and got her own way with things. But with that, why?

Uh... I'm just asking this just because I wanna clear up things... Is the supervisor taken?

Re:
EXACTLY!!!!  you hit the nail right on the head w/ that one.....  my supervisor is grooming Ms. Doo doo brown to be her evil heir!  in confidentiality, she had told someone that she hopes to train Ms. doo doo brown to become next office/business manager and probably to take over when she retires.  of course no one in the office is suppose to know, including me.   so to everyone, it seems like extreme favoritism...which it is.  but with a purpose i suppose.   so that's why Ms. doo doo brown replaced me in my old department, so she can know the ins and outs of the office....to be properly trained.

Ms. doo doo brown jsut keeps dropping comments like, 'I know the big picture of what's in the future for this office.....you guys don't know the plans for this office".    and as far as going to the supervisor's boss....she's got him wrapped tightly around her finger too unfortunately.   btw, she has a dried up marriage that she keeps together cuz she's very conservative, has 3 grown sons, and can have an innocent affair with another married man.  ...

i'd be fine with everything if she only showed some regard and respect for the rest of the office too!  people say i'll only find the same problems, same office politics anywhere i go, just w/ different people.  but this woman is definitely one of a kind....  maybe i should just block out everything.  ignorance is bliss right?...

....thanks for listening and commenting

Re:
It's good and I love helping out with stuff like this.

Affair? Ew. Especially since he's married too. Thats just grody.

*shrugs* There are people like that everywhere you go, but they each have their own degrees of retardness. And she thinks she's highly wise and above you all... just ignore her (and be "better" then her) and when a problem ever comes up, just do what you gotta do. What feels right and all that junk. If she tells you to do something, but you think that another way is right and others think so too...then if you can without getting fired, do what you do and show her up. Woot.

Doesn't she have more then one boss?

Re:
Nasty, nasty, nasty.. first off, you're completely innocent on that situation, and I'm sorry that it left you so upset. If we could just flip the switch and forget..

You could try to gather an under-signed and take it to the supervisor so it wouldn't be a Katty vs. Christine, but a Katty vs. office conversation. Or you could try to do focus on your tasks and try hard to not let this issues upset you. I think that both approaches are brave and honorable.

I'm glad too that you have a blog. Good luck with the drug rep

(hope you get free drugs that you can put on the coffee of the devil..)

Re:
HAHAHA.....i like your thinking.....  he works for pfizer.  hmmm  how's some viagra in coffee.  nah...i'll figure out something better to put in it.  hehe.

and that's a great idea... i know most of the office would agree with everything i'd write in a letter.... but would they be brave enough to sign it and back me up on it.  not sure about that one. i'll play it by ear.

Re:
I've been told that viagra and caffeine work good together, as in, twice the effect

You could do an anonynous pre-under-signed poll. But that would be a long walk for something that would probably work better with a direct aproach.

But like I said, training your brain to turn off when the devil is spitting sulphur is a good option too. Meditation.. they say it works. (but not for me)
