
My only insight: no matter how difficult distance is to deal with... if dealing with the distance is easier than dealing with the absence of the person in your life - then you know it's worth it.
Long term, one of you will have to be willing to move. I don't know if that's something you need to worry about for now. If I remember correctly, there are plans in place for him to come back to the U.S. and for you to go to Ireland. I'd say for now you just focus on enjoying eachother via the communication methods you have available... and see how it goes. You just have one more year of school? Then... Europe bound perhaps?
