Seattle or "The Emerald City" as its ardent admirers love to call it is one of the most vibrant cities in the Pacific Northwest. It is also the largest city. Surrounded by the Puget Sound in the west, Lake Washington in the east and the Cascade Ranges a little off to the east, Seattle is also one of the most beautiful places of United States.

Seattle has fast become one of the most popular tourist destinations on the West Coast. With great sights to see and numerous recreational activities for visitors, it is no surprize that this city is gaining in popularity.  The visitor will enjoy Seattle attractions such as the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, the Japenese Gardens and the Washington Park Arboretum to name a few.  There are also guided tours available such as the Future of Flight (a tour of Boeing), the Museum of Flight and the Tillicum Village Experience.

If you are interested historical theatres in the area, then you won’t be disappointed because among the theatres that you can find here are the Paramount Theatre, the Moore Theatre and the 5th Avenue Theatre, all of which have been in Seattle for quite a long time now. Of course, you can also experience the more contemporary theater in Seattle through the Seattle Public Theatre at the Bathhouse.

For many of us, if we would visit a particular city or place, aside from the famous tourist destinations and historical spots, we would always look for and find the restaurants in that place to experience and taste its distinct, unique and famous dishes and cuisines. There are many restaurants in Seattle where you can choose from depending on the cuisine or dish that you want. This is perhaps one of the US states that has almost all the cuisines all over the world. The Seattle restaurants offer cuisines such as Japanese, Thai and Chinese cuisine. If you want to try the Indian food and dish, there are restaurants in Seattle that offer Indian cuisine. Other cuisines that you can experience for your Seattle dining would be African, Italian, French and Mediterranean and many others. The reason for this is because of the cultural make-up and diversity in Seattle and so cuisines are offered coming from all corners of the world. Also, Seattle dining is famous for its fresh seafood because of its proximity to the Puget Sound.

There is so much to see, do and experience in Seattle that one really needs to plan spending at least a week in the area to get the most out of their visit.
