...er... no, they're not. That's tomorrow afternoon's task. But tonight, in preparation for the D.C. trip, I finally did laundry. I'd been putting it off for as long as possible. I'm not even sure why; it's not like I really mind doing laundry all that much. Sorting socks is the worst part, probably. I own lots of black socks, for example, all in the same style. But they're not identical pairs... just nearly so. Often, I'll put on what I think is a matched pair, only to find that one is ever-so-slightly off-black, compared to the other. Or that one feels slightly different on my foot than the other. Irksome.
One of the good things about this trip is that it'll result in mondo overtime. My next paycheck will have 15 1/2 hours of OT. The one after that? Not sure, but probably about ten. And after this year's IRS debacle, I can use all the extra I can get.
It may, unfortunately, be time to consider a part-time job.
I have no idea if I'll be updating this thing while away. Certainly, I'll have 'net access in D.C., but after Wednesday, I may not be able to log in until I get home. No idea what the situation is there in my home town.
I just hope I have time to see everyone I want to. I really do miss my family, and can't wait to spend some time with them.
Just wish it could be more.
