The ol' gunpowder plot gag eh?  Now I remember.  No, actually I don't, but after a quick wikipeda search on it, maybe I will in the future/  Weird how they named the anniversary "Guy Fawkes Day."  If they had caught Timothy McVeigh before he blew up the Oklahoma City building, would we have a "Timothy McVeigh Day"?  Probably not.  Of course, there is probably something more to the story that I am missing, but I really have no interest in furthering my knowledge on some silly Brits in the early 17th century, the ones that stayed accross the pond anyways.

Re: Oh, that Guy Fawkes
Eventually, every day will be a holiday, because there will have been a foiled plot or some famous person's birthday on each and every day.  I guess I shouldn't do puns relating to "Fawkes", it's so close phonetically to "fucks" that it's tempting, though.

Tempted to fucks, on account of Guy Fawkes Day.  He would have never seen that coming 400 years ago.  All he wanted to do was ruin some whigs...
