We got Verizon FiOS yesterday, and it is a remarkable upgrade from having no cable, no house phone and barely getting wireless internet from 250 feet away.  So that being said, I didn't have to watch the Today show this morning for my weather and traffic report, not that it's necessary, but it is handy sometimes.  With FiOS, you just press the widget button on your remote, and it gives you the weather forcast and traffic reports, which is outstanding.  So far so good, but it did take the dude 10 hours to install everything, and now I have to learn a new number, and now I have to get a house phone.

So I watched Survivorman, espn news, and some other stuff last night; say goodbye to Howie Mandel for a while, and I'll never have Ray Romano on my TV screen again.  This morning I watched Mike and Mike in the morning live from Disney.  There were about 50 men sitting there and watching them do the show live.  It could not have looked more uncomfortable.  Guys just sitting around watching two guys talk.  Radio is not a participatory thing, you listen while doing other tasks.  I think just sitting around a radio doing nothing ended when books stopped being read on radio in the 1940's people.  Not to mention the fact that you are in FLORIDA.  Go do something.  Wow, not me, I could never just sit there and watch.  I did it once to try to win tickets to a Patriots game, and the whole scene is just awkward, with the hosts trying not to make eye contact with the people in the audience.  I hated it, and I couldn't even stick around to see if I won.
