Boston started out exhibition play beating Boston College 24-0, and Beckett wasn't pleased with his performance.  Somehow I do not expect a repeat of what happened the last time they won the World Series.  It's exhibition play, but thank god baseball is back. Football is great, but I can't do basketball or hockey.  Basketball is watchable for me in a last case situation, but hockey, not at all.
What kills me about basketball is that the league is filled with thugs, who care more about image than the game.  The regular season means nothing, because they basically let 75% of the league into the postseason, and the long series in every round makes the playoffs last for an eternity.  I think even the first round of the postseason is 7 games.  You got to be kidding me, way too much.
Anyways, thank god baseball is back.  I love everything about it, watching it, reading about it, fantasy baseball.  I'm looking forward to seeing some of the younger Red Sox coming up and contributing, guys like Ellsbury and perhaps seeing if Craig Hansen can finally put it together.

I live in Needham, Mass, and we're Red Sox fans -- we went to both of the World Series victory parades, and we did go to one game in person last year, but I actually prefer staying at home and watching it on TV.

Yeah you can see the game better on TV, but there isn't a better atmosphere than Fenway

I disagree -- half the people there are drunk, for starters.

Only a problem if they are obnoxious drunks.  It depends on where you are located.  The Outfield is much rowdier than the infield from my experiences.

Yep, we were in deep outfield, beyond the right fielder.

NOTHING beats watching a game at Fenway.  It becomes immensely exciting when it's happening right there before your eyes.  The only thing that sucks is the price and lines in the bathroom.

Also, the obstructed views aren't the best, but the atmosphere is what I'm referring to.  Of course if the team started to suck, and the place didn't sell out, the energy I'm talking about would expose Fenway for the antiquated stadium that it is.  Don't be afraid to pop your posting cherry.  You could throw up a post easily, just reference some of your cases.
