I just got back from Diamond Point. To put it short, I am now officially a piece of walking bacon. And no you may not put me on a plate to accompany pancakes and eggs. My dad's sail had a tear so I got to row instead. A couple of seagull attacks later I'm tied to the pilings, fishing away for a few hours catching nothing but seaweed and old fireworks. I managed to snag a hook on my shorts though. That hurt. Alot. Finished reading the new Harry Potter book. I'm not a cult fan but they're really good books. I was really suprised. Anyways, my sunburn from Saturday is already beginning to turn into a tan. (The pain still lingers...*ouchies*) Oh! By the way...I did catch something of interest that nearly severed my right big toe...a roch crab decided to hitch a ride on my herring head bait and I dropped it in the boat and it nearly landed on my foot and well, you can imangine my reaction, me being me, I nearly lept out of the boat and  I would have had it not been for a large jellfish swimming around the pilings. If you ever see the movie "Sphere", you will understand my morbid fear of them. Well, that was my weekend. I didn't even get to keep the crab because it was too small...no more basketball. Last game was Thursday. My parents came. And I was giving Mrs.Rap my jersey back and my dad walks over and introduces himself. I was horrified. My dad acted like nothing happened! He could have stayed with my mom who was pissed off more than a wet cat. I don't think she likes Rap after what happened. I could tell Rap was equally as shocked as I was. You know, after what happened. I was like, "Not happening...safe place, safe place..." Of course it happened. Then the awkward silence. I was like, "God if you have any pity, kill me now." Then my dad was talking about last fall at Open House or whatever and I'm like, "Yeah, a whole year..." It's amazing how he couldn't tell that I wanted to leave or maybe he was doing it on purpose. I don't know. But my mom was becoming increasingly impatient about being in the same room with someone who, ahem, "helped tear our family apart," so I said bye to Rap before my dad could make any smalltalk. That was the most awkward moment in my life. And the most uncomfortable. Here comes the inevitable rant of the whatever. My birthday is close, August 26th and I'm making plans to have friends over. Don't know yet. But I mentioned to my mom who said that nobody would come because of what happened. Smells like a guilt trip to me. I was like, "whatever, I did the right thing, my friends told me so and you won't tell me different." I was suprised at myself but moreso at my mom's reaction. She didn't say anything. Because I was right. God forbid. Well, sorry for the long blog. I always seem to put so much on here. Well, how was your weekend?

...don't be stupid like me, wear sunscreen.-Britt
