hey, thnx for visiting my blog.
Top Blog #1 - congrats!
It must be amazing to study somewhere you're not from -- what an experience!
Sounds like an awesome road with bagels on one end and curries on the other. What more could anyone want?
Oh, ground Cinnamon!
Go back and get some pics please! And while you do have to study at times, take time to enjoy - as you're doing. It's more fun and there are more memories that way!

Go back and get some pics please! And while you do have to study at times, take time to enjoy - as you're doing. It's more fun and there are more memories that way! yeah, I'm working on that part. Although, I think I did a little too much "memory making" this week, I have so much to catch up on tomorrow!
Hello Sarah...
I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself...
My name is Bob.
I live and work as a nurse in beautiful Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
I am a relatively new consumer and modest contributer to mindsay, but have found 'BlogAbroad' to be a most worthy endeavor and wish to lend out my warmest support to each and every one of you this season.
So, this is my 'personal' connection to you!
I hope that your travels so far, and to date...have been safe, secure and everything that you have dreamed of.
(I put it this way to Tammy...so I won't change the phrasing for you... "I can only assume that there is a wealth of family and friends who are counting upon your safe return... so please take care of yourself!"
)
You'll be able to glean most of what you need to know about me to fill in an adequate 'intro' from my mindsay profile...but because I wish to peek in on you and your 'exploits' quite frequently... I feel that a more personal 'hello' is at least the courteous thing to do.
So... "hello!"
I am 32...and work as a nurse in the treatment and research of "childhood cancers"...
This week, I begin work at a different hospital, here in Toronto. I am both equally excited and terrified at the prospect of such a major 'life-change' for myself.
I've been trying to keep these changes to a minimum lately.
Within the last year, my three daughters have lost their mommy and that has proven to be 'change' enough (thank-you very much).
We have our work cut out for us, but we are really doing very well Sarah... so, no worries.
My girlz are happy, busy and healthy. We are each other's best friends and together, as a family are more than capable of seeing one another through ANYTHING!
(we prove it daily...)
We, together with an incorrigable, over-sized St. Bernard named Tanner...live in a house quite near the airport in Toronto.
I can put-up with the air-traffic... the elegant trade off is that we have an abundance of space here. Toronto is a great place to raise a family 'period'...and the benefit of all this free parkland outside our backdoor is just 'bonus'.
It's late Sunday night here... and I'm quickly running out of steam... yet, this was important to me. I have been wanting to sit down to pen you this for some time now.
I hope that you'll feel free to read through my entries at your leisure.
In any event, know that you have my support, my keen interest in your experiences in Britain, my esteem and my envy.
Check in on us anytime and often... we'll be watching!
Sincerely,
~ Bob, Shannon, Shelby, Kendall (and Tanner)

Thank you so much for your interest, and for your thorough introduction. I enjoyed your blog very much and look forward to reading more.
Keep making personal connections, and I'll keep showing you what I can of London. Not that you should have any need of London, Toronto is a beautiful city, your daughters (and Tanner) must love it.

... 'thanx for the response Sarah... 'read through your entries this eev' , so I'm summarily caught-up with you... (50+ words to describe a 'crumpet'... you and I are going to get along 'just fine'
)
When you find the inspiration Sarah, would you give me a 'quik' synopsis of your 'experimental theatre...' course?
I'd like to hear of them all... yet, this sounds particularly compelling.
`Cheers!

I was amused with your difficulty finding ground cinnamon there.. delighted that you finally did! I still have a hard time finding good curry powder around here ( Annapolis/Baltimore). However, there IS a supposedly great Indian food restaurant on West Street in Annapolis.. I've heard about Naan ( sic?) and would love to try it. Keep up the fantastic blogging!!!!!!!!!!!
If your in Maryland you should be cooking with Old Bay instead of curry. It's fantastic and spicy and amazing! I've learned to be careful about what I post on my blog, though, cause my friends from home have now sent Ground Cinnamon, but you can never have to much. I'm about half way through the bottle I got on Brick Lane already.
