so, remember last entry when i was talking about "fakers"? well, this entry is about the "racers".

and this is straight (tehe) from my dic(tehe)tionary about anything and everything...the one in my head.

faker (n): a lesbian who is masculine enough to appear male but gets angry when she is mistaken for one...but it really secretly striving to be referred to as such.

racer (n): a trans individual who comes out after a close friend or relative and then proceeds to "race" them to see who can fully transition first.

i have a "brother" named D. D's name is Danielle. Danielle is dating a friend of Shawna and myself who coincidentally has been in some form of relationship or....oh forget.

D's gf and i hooked up. Shawna and D hooked up. I dated D. Shawna dated D's gf. Now we are all friends...understood? Don't make me draw a diagram...it's not pretty, folks.

Anyway....i digress once more...

D is rather masculine and always has been. When I dated D, we looked like a stereotypical lesbian couple: diesel dykes.

(diesel dyke (n): a lesbian who fits the ultra-butch flannel-wearing, beer-drinking, lumberjack punching stereotype of a lesbian)

well, D and I broke up. I realized that I was trans and came out as such. Shortly after I came out, D stated that she too was trans. For years, she had been on T (testosterone) for some illness and it made her grow peach fuzz in several places...basically, she's a hairy woman who looks masculine.

anyway, she then became a performing drag king (about 8 months after I started out)...and has basically followed me in everything, but is almost trying to "Race" me.

We were at the surprise party i threw for shawna's birthday a few weeks ago and one of D's gf's best friends asked me how i was coming in my transition. She commented that my facial hair was coming in nicely and wondered about my dosage of T...to which i replied there was none, it was au naturale...

D: "Oh that's nothing! I've been on T for 5 years. The doctor says my hormone count is way way up now with T."

Mind you, D is not being medically treated for transsexuality, just like myself. We're in the same boat, here...why race?

But to "one-up" me, D likes to tell people she is a hermaphrodite. She always tells them "I was born with both parts and I have two birth certificates! My mom has the female one and my dad has the male one."

mind you, nobody has seen D's dad in about 10 years...so this is proof of nothing.

I'm getting tired, so I think I will stop there for tonight.

Is D a "racer"? or is she just a lesbian following what seems to be a growing trend in the area?

thoughts?
