I can build a tower for speed no problem. But at our current state we can't justify a new laptop of the level you want. and one you have in mind would be expensive. your programs require a lot of power and i'm sorry but laptops on a fundemental level do no have the same capacity power wise a tower does and their cooling systems aren't great either meaning endurance runs are hazardous to them. if you looking at something that can be used for a long periods of time and have suffcient power to accomplish what you want in a timely manor then a tower just make sense. Your current lap top hasn't left the house in over a year so i don't see the need for a laptop your not using the mobility.

but it's your choice I just don't want you to make a poor choice for the sake of being albe to sit on the bed to work on your computer that's all.
