I hate in books the really soppy goody goody characters. You know the ones. The pathetically weedy lovey dovey do nothing damsel/dudes in distress. In books like that, i feel more of a connection with the bad guys.
Same freaking here! Eragon was stubborn and STUPID. And if you don't like women who do nothing, then I don't suggest that you watch the movie Bird on a Wire. It's got Mel Gibson and Goldie Hawn and Goldie Hawn's character screamed for half the freaking movie. ESPECIALLY when she had to keep her beak shut. Although, I do like Dracula in Van Helsing; hands down one of my favourite Vampires of all time. That and Edward Cullen and Selene from Underworld.
I like books like Harry Potter where he's not the only guy who does ALL the work. I hate books where the good guy has to do all the work simply because they are too busy screaming their butts off. That's times, like you, where I'm rooting for the bad guy because the rest are eejits and apparently the good guy has to win it all single-handedly. Which couldn't be farther from the truth.
