I don't want to sound crass, but there are LOTS of daily things I wonder how she would do. We have a chek - out woman at my grocery store with long nails ( but not 3 inches). She gets them painted very beautifully. I asked her how she managed to click on all the register buttons without breakage. She said she had some kind of coating with fibers in it painted on to strengthen them. Sounds like fiberglass to me! I can't stand the feeling of long nails. And I HAVE to keep mine short for my job, so no problem.
Oh- it's not just you. I saw a woman on TV who had the world record for the longest nails and I liked to crawled right out of my skin. Three inch nails really does lend the disturbing feeling of something predatory... *shivers*
I totally agree with you!
I have nice nails but if they get more than three quarters of a inch long, it's hard to do anything.

Knowing me, I would probably have walked up and point blank asked her if they were real or fake! I have seen both real and fake nails that long and longer and it grosses me out. I keep my nails at a sport length (what the salons call it) naturally and only very rarely ever put tips on.
I hope she doens't work in the food industry! That is all I have to say!
I'll keep my short nails! It makes putting on my sparring equipment so much easier!
I remember a cashier at Walmart (she didn't last long, I only saw her once) who had one finger nail that was so long it curved under a couple of times and made a loopty loop. I couldn't help myself and asked her why she grew it that long and she said that she thought it was pretty. It was painted and everything. I said "oh". I didn't say it, but I thought it was hideous.
