I want to say that young Black Men are an endangered species in this days society simply because they are sterotyped as loud, brash, out of control and gangsta with their music and dredlocks and attitudes and dress. To put it simple folks are afraid of Blacks still. there was a time back in the day when young Black Men dressed in slacks, suits, sportcoats and blazers and of course big bulky knitt sweaters and that was cool. Nice shoes polished some even wore neck ties, hair groomed nicely and theyt had respect for themselves and the elderly. With the passage of time all thats gone by the wayside. So how can you expect the Law, your local <police> to have respect for the age group we see now when this is what they come from. There was a time when a Police Officer was someone to become, it was an honorable profession going hand in hand with Doctor, Lawyer and School Teacher oh and lets not forget the Preacher. If any one of the five I've mentioned gave you a good report it would open many doors and present many an oppertunity. That was the weight of respect for those I've just mentioned. What we've seen in these two articles are Black folks guned down by Police Officers who had probable cause in one case because they were fired upon however I still don't feel everything was done that could have been to save that women's life. The other case in New York I don't have all the details too and the article is broad to me in its narrative.
We as citizens don't walk around with body armor on 24/7 unless we'er looking for trouble. Here's a young man and a few friends preparing for a friends wedding in a few hours and low and behold, here comes Murphy's Law at the most inoppertuned time and it all went wrong. Thats the way we see it, but I have to look at it another way as well since I've a spiritual calling on my life. This was God's Will. We might not want to hear that and it might be unacceptable but nevertheless its His Divine Will that this happen just as it did. I aint tryin to preach no sermon here but those are the facts. It was pre ordained just like that and so was the 92 year olds death in Atlanta also. Until we began to put some God back in our lives life aint gonna get no better, and Black folks know about God well us older ones do and have the fear. Thats one of our problems we don't fear nothin or noone, dieing don't mean nothin its a status symbol to some. Once agin I aint preachin a sermon but look at who's getting laid to rest by the hundreds everyday. Whats wrong with this picture ? And I've been here now three score and five.
Frank, you know where I stand from my previous post on this very event. That was quite a thoughtful post, by the way. I continue to think of his wife-to-be and children.
Always love to read what you have to say.
You've changed things around here at your place... a little redecorating... I like this too!!
Be safe.

Now with the site... what I would suggest... when you get ready to type or after typing - highlight your words and make them a very light (white or light letters .. since the background is so dark.) I will attempt an example here. BUT I LOVE THIS COLOR SCHEME... but it is difficult to read... (not enough color contrast between text and background)
Example: What do you think? Take care my friend. Spice
