What they don't want you to know about sweetners.  For sometime I've been a diabetic and take my meds on a regular basis. When I was first diagnosed as borderline I got rather paranoid at the thought of taking needles. Now I'm sure some of you can attest to this feeling anyway I began to take oral meds and that didn't control the situation. Eventually I was put on insulin after running away from it for two years. Needless to say its not as bad as I thought "but" I'm comming off of it. How you say ? Well thanks to some good friends of mine who care about me and my health this is what they shared with me and I'm going to share it with you here, [so listen up].

The first thing that I was shown was how to reduce my dependance on diet drinks such as soadas and others. If you take trat cranberrry juice and use the sweetner I'm about to reccomend or just delute it and drink it straight it will help cleanse your blood. The next thing is to start to use a lot of plain cinnomon in your plain yougart and on you oatmeal. Now this is just ins't any plain oat meal its [ steel cut oats ] that the whole oat cut with a steel blade its course full of natural fiber. You cook this just like regular oat meal every now and then you can add a few rasins or some plain almonds unsalted or some berries if you  wish to add some flavor. Two hard boiled eggs won't hurt either and a slice of a [Granny Smith] apple, it doesn't have a much sugar as other apples.

A lot of leafy green veggies will help also and some fruits not all. Green Tea is good, so is [Almond Express] milk made from almonds or [Soy Milk] or [Rice Dream] these are all natural milk products. No fried foods and no grease please.

Now for what they don't want you to know. There is a plant called the [Stevia Plant] and its a natural sweetner and a herb healer. I've started to use it for [3] three months now and my over all sugar count has dropped from 14 in December to 9.5 last monday. Thats  not quite [90] days. I use a little vanalla extract, lots of cinnimon in my oats and in my apple sauce and nutmeg alomeg along with the stevia

I want you all to read what [Stevia Extract] can do for the body. How it can cure and heal. Do you think the big companies want this known that something so old and small can be a great good ? Look at the money lost. After you read this see if it makes sense to you ? It did to me and lots of others, lets see if it makes a difference in your health and lifestyle. Oh [Butternut Squash] [Baked Sweet Patatatoes] are good also.  Pomegranates are great, not the juice because sugar is added.

Stevia Extract

Stevia extract is a super-sweet, low-calorie dietary supplement that helps regulate blood sugar and supports the pancreas. It is valuable for anyone with diabetes and hypoglycemia.

It is a wonderful aid to weight loss and weight management because it contains no calories. In addition, research indicates that it significantly increases glucose tolerance and inhibits glucose absorption. People who ingest stevia daily often report a decrease in their desire for sweets and fatty foods. It may also improve digestion and gastrointestinal function, soothe upset stomachs, and help speed recovery from minor illnesses...

Stevia also inhibits the growth of some bacteria and infectious organisms, including those that cause tooth decay and gum disease. Many individuals using stevia have reported a lower incidence of colds and flu. Many who have used stevia as a mouthwash have experienced a significant decrease in gum disease.

When topically applied, it softens the skin and smooths out wrinkles while healing various skin blemishes, acne, seborrhea, dermatitis, and eczema. When used on cuts and wounds, it promotes rapid healing without scarring.

Re: DIABETICS " Heare Ye, Hear Ye, Hear Ye "
Great post... good and needed information. My spouse and I are not diabetic but I am vigilant. I've found that oatmeal, steel cut and even old fashioned apparently maintain a good blood sugar level for us because we can go for hours without eating after our oatmeal. With highly processed breakfast foods I was hungry in a couple of hours. Beans with brown rice is another meal that sticks to the ribs. Nuts, especially pistachios curb our desire for sugar treats. I was surprised that my diabetic neighbor is oblivious to foods that would help her in spite of being under a doctor's care. And she drinks diet soda like water.

It makes me feel good to know that information I've shared has helped someone other then myself. Someone took time to share it with me why not pass it on to someone else ? But you can rest assured the Doctors only talk control of illnesses rarely do they ever talk cure !  Old folks may have gotten sick but they knew how to cure themselves most times, that has changed soo much now due to the [AMA].

I've seen way to many herbal Doctors shutdown for practing medicine without a lincense. Oh I forgot to mention lots of [Red Pepper] in foods rather then black is very good also.  From time to time I'll post a tid bit here and there on good health.

Wow, that's pretty amazing that your glycohemoglobin A1C has dropped so many points in 3 months. In another 3 months you'll probably be below that magical 7.0 that endocrinologist's strive for (anything below 7 is golden)

congrats on that.

Thanks for the info on this, It'll be good to pass on to some folks I know.

Thanks so much. You have no idea as to how ignorant I was about blood sugar especially since diabetes runs in my family. I don't like needles in the first place so I had to do something. If  I must say so God sent me an angel in the form of a friend who made this transition and did a [180] in just six months. He takes no meds at all  and the Doctors were astounded. I mean to stay on this until my change comes, its far to perccious not to. Please pass it on.
