Had it not been for this....Australia could've won the game....

This is one of those moments where you wish you had a remote control to turn back time and change that one moment that changed everything...

It's as frustrating as watching a movie and knowing somethings about to happen.... "don't go in there, she behind the daw!!"

Was it a mistake by the ref? Surely it had to have been....

This is insane....

It's so not fair....

and that's what it feels like to come so close and lose it all at the last second...

when we could've been feeling this.....

...and this....

...but instead.....we felt this...

Of the one World Cup game I've watched so far this year, it had to be this one...that was just cruel - one trip, then one penalty shot and the dream is over for the Aussies - but we're still winners, just getting this far...further than ever before was a win in my eyes.

GO THE SOCCEROOS!!

yup, it definitely sucks big time....

i didn't watch any of the other games and it just had to be this one that i watched, i was so upset...it's just so frustrating...that last second and on overtime too!! they could've won without a doubt if there was no penalty..maybe if kewell was playing i don't know...

but on the bright side, they did well to get so far seeing as australia had never even scored a goal before.

Sadly such is the nature of the game. Until they introduce the same technology as other codes and use a video ref' this will keep happening. Still, I guess it does keep the game pure. It was an amazing run by the guys though and it's raised the profile of soccer in Oz. I'm glad I have mixed heritage, it means if the Socceroos go out, I can still yell for the Germans!! Anyone but the frogs.
