That is why you both need to move back to Washington! So that we can all celebrate together
I actually considered sending you guys a basket of all of the great things that Washington has to offer like Coffee, chocolate, clam chowder, etc. etc. etc.!!! But I held back. But enough of my nagging so that I can agree with you! I think big changes are on the horizon and I think people are feeling that. I also think that people realize that instead of complaining about the holidays it is time to embrace them and be Thankful for what we do have, friends, family, a warm place to stay. I will be digging out all of our Christmas decorations and getting them set up before Thanksgiving. (Slowly of course because Matt and I are both stuck home with colds!) I have almost all of my shopping done, gifts wrapped and you know what? I didn't go overboard this year. Jack and I have been making lots of things and talking about the other traditions of Christmas. Like cooking meals, ,making cookies, spending time with our friends and family and being Thankful for all that we have. I think he actually "gets" a lot of it too! You will be missed on Thanksgiving but we will talk for sure, just like last year! That was my one big break of the day when I got to sit down and chat with you for a bit so I am looking forward to it!! Cross your fingers for me, I will be cooking the entire Dinner again this year, complete with a nearly 20 pound bird and a spiral cut ham! (My Dad will take the bulk of the leftovers to work to share with the guys) Mom, Dad, Matt, Jack and I will all be thinking of you on Thursday. XOXOXO
