Alright, this week was pretty cool. I had my highs and lows, but in the end I’m happy how it worked out.
Okay, I got there and unloaded my stuff and went to the staff meeting and mingled with people, it was awesome. LoL. After that I went outside to be a ‘Meeter and Greeter’. But then I ended up directing traffic. All I had to do was catch people as they came down the road and tell them to look for another guy in an orange jacket. But what really pissed me off was when people didn’t stop and talk to me, and just parked wherever. That really screwed things up.
So, the first couple of days were pretty much the same, I worked and then got time off, worked, got time off, worked, got time off. But then by Wednesday I was already tired of my job. Its okay, and sometimes its fun, but its just too repetitive. I think next year I’ll see if there is some other interesting job. Hmm….
Anyway. There was a lot about relationships this week. I’ll talk about mine first. There is none. Me and this ‘special person’ talked it over, and I pretty much said no. I don’t like her all that much anyway. Well that’s not true. I do, I like her the most of the girls out there, but I like different things about everyone. Like how Kayla trusts me enough to talk to me about everything, and I mean everything. And how Bryn can sing really nicely, oh, and how Robyn does everything without a question. So, now were just friends. Moving on…There were some other people that had a hard time with that stuff out there this past week too, I hope they clear things up.
Gus, poor, poor Gus. In case you were wondering, Gus is a bear. A bear that lost its mommy and was hungry and lonely. It was coming to the camp in search of food, as much as we chased it away it kept coming back. Even with Josh’s mad ninja skills with his spear, the bear kept coming back. It liked our paintballs too. I guess he thought they were blue berries or something. So anyways, Kayla, Bryn, Jenn, Nikky and I were walking toward the chapel. Then all the sudden there was a bAnG! It was pretty loud. And then we watched them chuck Gus into the back of the camp truck, and carry him away. Then all the campers started to ask questions, and I wasn’t aloud to say what happened, so I told them to ask their cabin leaders. (P.S. Your Welcome Jenny :D)
I heard a rumor this week, but I’ll have to wait till tomorrow to see for sure if it was true. Apparently one of the cabin leaders was caught sneaking out, and his job might be on the line. So yea, maybe I could take his place? *Rolls Eyes* LoL.
At variety night was pretty cool. (That’s pretty much a talent show at camp). My favorite act was when Connor drank the rest of the two liter pop bottle of Lemon Ginger stuff. Its lemon and ginger mixed together. It is a drink Jean brought up from Ivory Coast with him. (Jean Is French J. He only speaks a bit of English, but he is really cool). Anyway, it was my favorite because after he drank it, me and Anne, Jeans wife, went to the kitchen and poured out just a bit more than Connor had into the pop bottle. Then, I chugged it. Anne was the only other person that saw. So ya. After I told Connor, he’s like ‘Your Gonna Throw Up Man’. But I didn’t. J (After my last gulp I started to laugh, and some came up through my nose. OH! Wait… I never told you what this stuff does. When you first put it into your mouth, its sweet, like lemons. Then, it burns your throat, a lot. Like, I’m the only other person besides Jean that can stand that stuff. Its pretty cool. J. My second favorite act was when Val got up and did the Happy Hands Club Dance off Napoleon Dynamite.
Speaking of napoleon dynamite, that’s the movie, we watched for movie night. Just the Maintenance and Kitchen staff get to go. Its pretty awesome. Anyway, after that we plaid the most intense round of Mafia ever. Mafia is a pretty cool game. You get a whole bunch of people together and then you sit in a circle. There is mafia, towns people, a doctor, and a detective. And you try and get the mafia out before they kill you. I’ll explain in more detain after.
Something I forgot about last week. There was a girl that came to Dorion from Hungary. Without her parents knowing, only her godparents. That was pretty cool.
Okay, in my last post, I was talking about a song. So, here’s the lyrics. Download it if you can.
I’ll be Missing You – Puff Daddy ft. Faith Evans
Verse One: Puff Daddy
(Yeah... this right hear... goes out to everyone who has lost someone they
truly love)
Seems like yesterday we used to rock the show
I laced the track, you locked the flow
So far from hangin on the block for dough
Notorious, they got to know that
Life ain't always what it seem to be (uh-uh)
Words can't express what you mean to me
Even though you're gone, we still a team
Through your family, I'll fulfill your dream (that's right)
In the future, can't wait to see
If you open up the gates for me
Reminisce some time, the night they took my friend (uh-huh)
Try to black it out, but it plays again
When it's real, feelings hard to conceal
Can't imagine all the pain I feel
Give anything to hear half your breath (half your breath)
I know you still living your life, after death
Chorus: Faith Evans
Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be missing you
Thinkin of the days, when you went away
What a life to take, what a bond to break
I'll be missing you
Verse Two: Puff Daddy
[Puff] I miss you Big
It's kinda hard with you not around (yeah)
Know you in heaven smilin down (eheh)
Watchin us while we pray for you
Every day we pray for you
Til the day we meet again
In my heart is where I'll keep you friend
Memories give me the strength I need (uh-huh) to proceed
Strength I need to believe
My thoughts Big I just can't define (can't define)
Wish I could turn back the hands of time
Us in the 6, shop for new clothes and kicks
You and me taking flicks
Makin hits, stages they receive you on
I still can't believe you're gone (can't believe you're gone)
Give anything to hear half your breath (half your breath)
I know you still living you're life, after death
Chorus:
Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be missing you
Thinkin of the days, when you went away
What a life to take, what a bond to break
I'll be missing you
Faith Evans:
Somebody tell me why
One Black Morning
When this life is over
I know
I'll see your face
112 Outro:
Every night I pray, every step I take
Every move I make, every single day
Every night I pray, every step I take
[Puff] Every day that passes
Every move I make, every single day
[Puff] Is a day that I get closer
[Puff] To seeing you again
Every night I pray, every step I take
[Puff] We miss you Big... and we won't stop
Every move I make, every single day
[Puff] Cause we can't stop... that's right
Every night I pray, every step I take
Every move I make, every single day
[Puff] We miss you Big
Faith Evans:
Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be missing you
Thinkin of the day, when you went away
What a life to take, what a bond to break
I'll be missing you
Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be missing you
Thinkin of the day, when you went away
What a life to take, what a bond to break
I'll be missing you
Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be missing you
Thinkin of the day, when you went away
What a life to take, what a bond to break
I'll be missing you
Maybe I’ll talk more later, my fingers are getting tired.
Peace Out…
