Today, I just want to thank You for You,

I want to nestle into Your love and know Your heartbeat,

I want to feel the depth of Your embrace,

As You woo me ever closer to You.

Now, it's not just for me that I seek Your heart,

But for all those around me in this life.

Cause it's only Your love that can make a difference,

Not mine, not me, not I.

This world is so filled with violence and pain,

Wounded warriors and victims of sin,

We cannot escape it or ignore its distress,

What technology will fix this horrible mess?

Oh draw me closer to Your empowering heart,

And let Your boundless compassion flow,

Through me, outward, ever outward,

Till heaven's love is established here below.

Re: More Love
I love reading these, i really do.  I'm guessing they're yours.  I find writing down prayers, praises, requests and when you're in need of feeling God's love is so much better writing them down rather than just saying them.

I've never seen any poetry books in Christian bookstores.  Is there much of a market for it?  Something you could look in to.  Btw the invite a friend tab requires an email address so i just added you to my network.  Is that cool?

God bless

Dave

Re: More Love
I appreciate it your words of encouragement and friendship!  Thank you!  I don't know anything about the poetry market.  I write for two reasons.  The first is to set my focus on my God, and though I cannot post everyday, I do sing to Him every morning whatever is on my heart.  The second reasons I write is because I must,  or I will burst!

Yeah, i have a folio of poems and songs about God.  That was mostly last year.  I have a whole new lot to edit now.

Have you ever shared any of them?

Re: More Love
Not as much as i should.  I have a friend who writes as well and i've given a lot to look at.  But i think it ends up at the bottom of the pile.  I'm leading worship in my lifegroup in a couple of weeks so i might read out one or two there.
