There once was a lady from Pawtucket,
BUT GOD
My kids ...,
BUT GOD
Underpaid and over-worked,
BUT GOD
The world is spinning downward fast,
BUT GOD
I want to help,
BUT GOD
Hopelessness covers US like a thick woolen blanket,
BUT GOD
Families gather to pick and fight,
BUT GOD
Bills paid, smiles all around, bellies full,
BUT GOD
Self-gratification,
BUT GOD
Pregnant teenagers,
BUT GOD
Political strife,
BUT GOD
Middleast = sibling rivalry,
BUT GOD
Thankful to whom?
BUT GOD
Is anyone really there?
BUT GOD
Drunken addicts in the streets,
BUT GOD
Caged child bruised and battered,
BUT GOD
Is there hope?
BUT GOD
Fear of man, fear of letting go,
BUT GOD
All children of God, made by His hand,
BUT GOD
The cross...
BUT GOD
The EMPTY TOMB!
On this day of celebration, may we be honest enough to humble our hearts before our one Hope, and thank Him for the good things in our lives. Without His love, His grace & mercy, we'd surely be lost and without hope. We may be alone but He is always with us. We may be sick and in pain, but He weeps with us. We may be truly grateful for family and friends, and He celebrates with us. Wherever you are, whatever your circumstances, God's love is as close as your next breath. Thank Him.
